What's the best Temporary Weapon enchanting class?

Advice

Dark Archive

Paladin
Magus
Warpriest
Occultist with Transmutation school
Fighter with Advanced Weapon Training
Probably other's I've forgotten.

A number of classes get the power to temporarily enchant or empower a weapon, granting it a +X weapon bonus, and adding a (usually limited) selection of weapon enchants.

Which class does this best?
Esp. with an eye to Melee vs Ranged weapons.

In my opinion the Occultist is best overall. The ability to add ANY Special Ability at low levels is amazing. Take VMC Magus for even more power and versatility.

A few options that you left off are:

Antipaladin
Arcane Archer
Arcanist with the Arcane Weapon Arcanist Exploit
Bard (Arcane Duelist)
Monk (Monk of the Empty Hand): [Improvised weapons only.]
Monk (Sohei)
Skald (Spell Warrior)
Spiritualist (Phantom Blade)
Wizard (Spellslinger) [Guns only]

Note that since both the Arcane Dualist Bard and the Spell Warrior Skald can add Enhancement Bonuses directly onto ammunition, they can help overcome DR for projectile builds. That's really nice in light of the recent FAQ on the subject. I have a guide that you might find useful. I do have to update it with a few options like the Phantom Blade.

If you're allowed to use third party stuff, The Artisan is pretty sweet. On top of adding your own stuff to pre-enchanted weapons, you can actually temporarily add the enchantments from another weapon to it.

Clerics, arcanists and wizards can get a lot of relevant spells and don't have to mess around with spells known.

The spell warrior skald is best for the party, the occultist is most versatile, a magus gets to do it as a swift action. VMC magus also gets that last option.

Personally I'd like a black blade magus for this; YMMV.

Is there any way to post a Table in these forums?

Nope, only one-dimensional lists are supported (with [ list ] and [ * ]). If you want something table-ish you have to screw around with things that you hope will look right for everybody if it looks right in your preview, like

CLASS.........FOOD
fighter...........beef
wizard..........cheese
cleric............apples
rogue...........candy

Those periods may look like they form an even grid, but they don't, as you'll see if you hit Reply and read the source text. It took repeated fiddle/preview cycles to get it right.

Table support is definitely a major absent feature here, this comes up a fair amount.

There's also the cleric forgemaster archetype which can use temporary runes to boost weapons. A bit limited, however.

Inquisitors can't do enchanting but they can do swift action Bane which is one of if not the most popular choice enchanting things in this way.
