Cypher System-Style Class Swapping

Homebrew and House Rules

I've been playing around with the idea of swapping between a small list of classes, but the number of class features would make it too complex and confusing to be awarding to players. Chard suggested doing something like the Cypher System(well, he specifically mentioned the Strange, but it uses the system). So I am trying to do a different class system with arrays, descriptors, and style/feature packages instead of traditional classes.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I thought I suggested it?

You could probably keep classes, but handle swappable features with either archetypes or MVC. And replace the trait system with something more intricate.

Cyrad, I was writing these posts from my phone, which auto-corrects.

MVC?

Oops, I meant VMC: variant multiclassing. You could possibly give every character a free variant multiclass that they can swap.

(The typo is funny because I actually do think there's someone called Chard on these forums.)

Ok. It shall be so.
