Benjamin Grimm (the Thing) - attempting a PFS build

Ok, my friend wants to build The Thing. Focusing more on the fighting style than the appearance or invulnerability aspects, since can't get it all.

So by his reading of the comics; The Thing usually punches (damge from strength rather than perfect martial arts forms), grabs people, smashes them into other people, and throws them around.

So we are looking at the barbarian Body Bludgeon and Hurling rage powers.
Oread race, Armored Hulk archtype, with dwarven stone plate of elysian bronze material for the appearance and AC.

This is our first rough pass at a build. Went with gauntlets for the weapons, but not sure if that is the best choice.

As per latest mostly official clarification you can't make a magic gauntlet. It's kinda up in the air waiting for a FAQ that has been promised to clear up the rules around gauntlets.

Also gauntlets are weapons and not unarmed strikes.

You're much safer going brass knuckles or cestus as your weapon to avoid all the potential issues.

Another option would be to take a level or 2 of brawler and using actual unarmed strikes.

Hmm... Ok we can do cestus. I just thought since gauntlets come with the armor it would save a few gold, but that isn't a big deal. Cestus is slightly better anyway.
We didn't want to mix in brawler since that would prohibit body bludgeon in PFS play.
The imp UA is only to allow imp grapple.

I'm going Brawler/sacred fist warpriest (of kurgess) . A lot of the warpriest spells make for over the top comic action, and the brawler dip (more and more it looks like a dip) lets him have any combat feat as a move action.

Scarab Sages

Honestly, I'd make clobbering time as an earth kineticist. Your defense talent will give you the rocky body and dr. The punches with stone fists are from kinetic blade/whip, the size increase from elemental body, and the blasts can be picking up boulders and hurling them.

Barbarian works, but I think kineticist fits the concept better.

As for the invulnerability goes, a invulnerable rager gets DR 5/- by 10th, and Improved Stalwart can add up to 10 more by fighting defensively.

Edit: I didn't see that this was a few months old, sorry.
