Pirate Friday afternoon PFS - GM needed

Organized Play

Yarrr,

so it looks like I'm on my own for finding a game for Friday afternoon so here goes.

Rather than wait until the last minute and see who can be scrounged up I'd rather have something set up in advance.

I can't offer to GM a different slot for you in exchange but I do have an exciting collection of boons that I've acquired over the years and am happy to give you a couple in exchange for taking up this burden.

Scenarios I have available to play:

6-20 Returned to the Sky (7-11)
6-22 Out of Anarchy (1-5)
7-01 Between the Lines (1-5)
7-24 Dead Man's Debt (1-5)
7-27 Beyond Azlant Ridge (3-7)
8-03 Captives of Toil (5-9)
8-05 Ungrounded but Unbroken (1-5)
8-14 To Deal the Shadow (1-5)
8-17 Refugees of the Weary Sky (7-11)
8-20 Torent's Last Will (7-11)

For authors, or others with things like exceptional terrain or other things that make a unique experience I'm happy to burn a GM star.

Scarab Sages

I think I am free this slot. But I am at a LARP on my phone so I can not yet say for sure. But I would love a game with you rob and I can GM if needed (just need to know before the 22nd because then I am flying to seattle and cant oack anything anymore)

Liberty's Edge

Starfinder Superscriber

I'm going to be coming with Ungrounded but Unbroken prepped as part of my role as a "Floater GM" for PFS, so I could run that Friday afternoon.

Shadow Lodge

I will be thoroughly bored Friday afternoon and would be happy to run something off that list for you Rob.

I could do 8-14: To Seal the Shadow, or even 8-05. I've played both recently and know them well enough - prep should be minimal.

I hear rknop may already be getting volunteered to GM Saturday afternoon for some different yahoos.

Lets take Slanky since he's a sure thing.

Sounds like 8-14 is his prefrence so lets do that.

Either of you who volilunteered to help are welcome tp join us.

I'd like to leave a slot open for the stranger at the gate, should I receuit the rest of the slots Slanky or would you rather?

Ive played to seal the shadow but I gladly burn a star for you yahoos.

(Incidentally I was also thinking about running ungrounded but unbroken)

Dark Archive

8-14 sounds great, MisterSlanky... if you don't mind, I will be in, too!

Rob,
if you are going to be around on Monday afternoon, I could be persuaded to run 8-05 Ungrounded but Unbroken. Ok, persuaded is a strong word... if you want it, i will commit to running it.

Thanks for the offer Silbeg, My flight leaves at 3:30pm on Monday so I'm not hanging around much after the last slot, need to be home in time for dinner with the little one.

So We've got 8-14 to Seal the Shadow Friday Afternoon 1pm

GM MisterSlanky

1: Pirate Rob
2: Woran
3: Silbeg
4: ?rknop?
5:
6: This slot left open

If rknop wants to join he's welcome to the slot if not we potentially have up to 2 more open spaces.

Liberty's Edge

Starfinder Superscriber

I've already played that one, so I'll leave the slot to somebody else.

Shadow Lodge

Sounds good on 8-14 - should mention, I believe this is a convention scenario as well, so you might see reduced interest. Let me know if you want to go for 8-05 instead.

Dark Archive

Alternatively, I could easily GM any of the following....

6-22 Out of Anarchy (1-5)
7-01 Between the Lines (1-5)
7-24 Dead Man's Debt (1-5)
7-27 Beyond Azlant Ridge (3-7)
8-03 Captives of Toil (5-9)
8-05 Ungrounded but Unbroken (1-5)

I would just need to know by Friday 19, so I pack the stuff needed (and do any needed printing).

Ungrounded is out for me to play, as I've played it (with MisterSlanky, to be specific).

I suspect we won't have any trouble getting a 4th and am happy to have a smaller rather than larger table if it works out that way.

We can cycle things slightly if needed as well.

I'm running 8-14 Friday, Sunday and Monday mornings. I can lend my maps and minis for your afternoon run; I may also have some props you can borrow.

Scarab Sages

I relish the oppurtunity to play with you all.

If we do have trouble finding a fourth player, between the lines and to seal tthe shadow are the only ones i have played from robs list.

Alright, if We cross reference Woran with Silbeg's run list...

6-22 Out of Anarchy (1-5)
7-24 Dead Man's Debt (1-5)
7-27 Beyond Azlant Ridge (3-7)
8-03 Captives of Toil (5-9)

Slanky: Any of those you can play without burning a star so that we can save Woran's star?

The Exchange

I think I'll join in this game as well. We will all discover we aren't nearly as argumentative in person as we are online. Rainbows, unicorns, kittens, and apple pie will ensue.

Our of your original list, Rob, I have not played:
6-22 Out of Anarchy (1-5)
7-01 Between the Lines (1-5)
7-27 Beyond Azlant Ridge (3-7)
8-05 Ungrounded but Unbroken (1-5)
8-14 To D(S)eal the Shadow (1-5)
8-17 Refugees of the Weary Sky (7-11)
8-20 Torent's Last Will (7-11)

So cross-referencing Silbeg and Woran that leaves 6-22 and 7-27. However I have a ton of Star Replays; I haven't even "tapped" my Star Recharge for this year.

Scarab Sages

Oh wait I did play beyond azlant ridge.
But I filled out the survey so I can use that boon to replay insted of using a star.

Shadow Lodge

Rather run than play Rob.

If there's a better choice, I can switch it up to that.

For now I'm prepping To Seal the Shadow unless I see otherwise here.

Shadow Lodge

If you would rather do 6-22: Out of Anarchy or 07-01: Between the Lines(which I have also played and can remember fairly clearly) I can prep that instead (I don't have Silbeg's play list handy). Due to trying to play Level Tetris for my character I'm playing the Tyranny of the Winds character with, I'd prefer something that covers level 3 (2 would probably be even more solid).

If everybody is up-to-date on the PFS Session Tracker I could use that to try to figure it out too if I had IDs.

I'll start prepping this one later this week, so there's some time to nail it down.

Dark Archive

I am up to date (or mostly), and have played both of those, MisterSlanky. My last was ones I would be able to run.

Playing?
Of those listed, only 8-14, 8-17, or 8-20 (the last of these I am scheduled to play Monday AM)

I am positive we could find someone to be the fourth. I cannot see that being a problem!

Alright, lets stick with the Slanky GMs 8-14 initial plan and not further complicate things.

Appreciate the thoughts though.

Dark Archive

Excellent. So, the next question, we looking high or low tier?

High, I would likely bring Archer, my warpriest of Erastil. He ... arches.

Low, it might be Garth Frogg, the hypnotoad.

Lets go high, I'd like to bring my Skinwalker barbarian, he's a well rounded individual with double digit int and wisdom and the ability to attack with an unreasonably large number of body parts.

Scarab Sages

I'll most likely bring my unchained summoner.

The Exchange

I've got a few choices. Probably either my elementalist oracle or the merchant that I'm playing in Tineke's game Thursday.

Shadow Lodge

Whatever your choices, I'm sure they'll be terrible.

Scarab Sages

MisterSlanky wrote:

Sadly, my terrible character is out of tier for this adventure. You will have to make do with awful instead.

Dark Archive

I represent one of two players that would love to get 8-14 in on Friday afternoon!!!!!
I posted that we could do Veteran's Vault on the other thread, but this scenario would work well. It has played out in our area at a local con where we were doing other duties, GM and organization. Please let me know if you have room for us. :)

Shadow Lodge

Your character choices will be terrible too.

The Exchange

That sounds like the parting toast from a particularly dour ethnic group.

Dark Archive

There may be a change of mind... I am could bring Thorval, son of Thorval, son of Thorval...

I'm game for this as well. I've played most of them except for 7-24, 7-27, 8-03, 8-14, and 8-17. I might we willing to burn some GM stars if needed because at this rate this year's replays are going to go to waste.

On a site note: is anyone interested in doing CORE?

Neenah Hartleigh: unfortunately I don't have 2 slots left for the pair of you. Does mean we can pick up Soluzar though and be full.

GM MisterSlanky
8-14 To Seal the Shadow (1-5 High Tier)

1: Pirate Rob
2: Woran
3: Silbeg
4: Belafon
5: Soluzar
6: This slot left open

Mr.Slanky due to GMing has veto power over this plan if desired.

Shadow Lodge

I have no issues. You should negotiate with yourselves at sub tier. I'd prefer to know to minimize prep and packing.

High Tier! (4-5)

Rob,
I could round out the 6th if one still needed. Also truly awful multi-classed stealthy type at 5th level .

I should post under the correct flag as the 6th.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The 6th slot is left open on purpose. I'm not taking people in advance for it.

Scarab Sages

When will we officially start? I have morning slot that ends at 1PM

Dark Archive

As do most of us, I am sure, Woran.

We'll shoot for 1PM, I would assume, but we should make sure we all have a chance to grab something for lunch as well.

Shadow Lodge

Whatever your choice for lunch, I'm sure it'll be horrible too.

Yes please. I have been known to get very Hangry.

One might say I turn into a MisterSlanky when hungry.

How 'bout some takeout drunken noodles? Those mushrooms aren't gonna paint themselves!

That would require I GM this session drunk.

That can be arranged.

Dark Archive

As an FYI, we will have access to the rear of the banquet hall for pickup games. Tonya was able to make this happen!

Good news, thanks for letting us know, and to Tonya for making it happen!

I'm really sorry but I'm gonna have to pull out of this. My plane got in stupid late last night. Morning session has wiped me out.

Sorry to hear that, but understandable.

Sounds like Keith can join us, and maybe one more if we have room (seemed like Pirate Rob was shooting for a 5 player table, though?)

Table 42.
