If the Russia saga doesn't get the job done, Trump is moving forward with his backup impeachment plan.

'The public has no right to public records of possible ethical conflicts... and neither does the ethics office.'

Alrighty then. We've shot right past 'lack of transparency' and 'potential conflicts of interest' to 'obviously hiding something'.

If this keeps up, Mueller will easily be able to pull possible conflicts of interest in to his investigation... and then the entire administration is just done. Even if everyone was completely impartial (hah!), there are so many blatant conflicts of interest that it will be impossible to avoid the appearance of misconduct. Take the issue with Flynn blocking action against ISIS that Turkey disapproved of... while secretly being a paid Turkish agent. Ok, maybe Flynn really believed that arming Kurds to go after ISIS was a bad idea, but the undisclosed conflict of interest sure makes it look bad.

Now apply that same problem to dozens of administration officials in virtually every agency... and the White House itself. The entire administration is one giant conflict of interest square dance. The last thing they should want to be doing is hiding these potential conflicts.
