Must-play Season 8 Scenarios?

So, what are the must-play season 8 scenarios. I usually avoid any 8's on pbp throughout the year to give my self full selection at PaizoCon.

I have a 4th Inquisitor, a 6th Oridin, and some 1-2's.

Looking for adventures that are just a blast to play, and/or provide some lore for the season.

Well there's a lot of metaplot-oriented scenarios; most of them obviously elemental. There's some added value to playing them in the proper order, but doing that at a Con is a tall feat.

Order in which to play season metaplot scenarios; slight spoilers as to which scenarios point to each other:

Reaching back a little bit, I'd say the metaplot is foreshadowed in S7 - Captive in Crystal, followed by Through Maelstrom Rift and then truly starts with The Cosmic Captive.

There's a second thread weaving in from S6 with Tapestry's Toil getting a sequel in Ward Asunder. Try getting both on the same character!

The first metaplot thread continues with the Tyranny of Winds trilogy. That one and (presumably, haven't played them yet) the Forged In Flame double feature then meet up with What Sleeps In stone.

After doing that you'll probably want to go do the Water-themed adventures, particularly Treacherous Waves.

Meanwhile, there are a bunch of standalone adventures in this season I recommend.

Portent's Peril is all about the Varisian flavor. It's very flavorful and kinda feelgood. It was very nice to run as GM because all the moving parts fit together very neatly.

Captives of Toil is straightforward but good fun. It's not as "brainy" as most other scenarios in this season.

Wardens of Sulfur Gulch is not at all simple. It's quite tricky for the GM, but I do consider it one of the best tech scenarios. It manages the job of being good both for tech-oriented characters and characters who don't like tech.

Ungrounded But Unbroken was fun for me, but requires a GM who knows how to deliver the story - I think this particular one really works better with a GM who knows his players personally, and which buttons to push or not push.

From the Tome of Righteous Repose is a big dungeon, for when you want to do that. Replayable with about a twenty main configurations and thousands of permutations.

To Seal the Shadow is a fun short story. It got off to a rocky start but now that there's some good GM prep it should be better.

Play ALL the things!

Tyranny of Winds is good for season lore.

Ward Asunder is pretty good for an Oradin.

To Seal The Shadow would fit an Inquisitor, as would Treacherous Waves.

Silver Crusade 4/5

There were a lot of decent season 8 scenarios, but only one that jumps out at me as being great, and that was Portent's Peril. But because that was the first scenario of the season, it may not be available at Paizo Con. I don't know how that works. I know it was a Gen Con scenario last year, so won't be again this year.

Thanks all!

If you are with The Exchange faction, you will want to do Forged In Flame.

The reporting makes me think decisions made there could affect what happens with the faction in the future.
