So i'm going to GenCon, partially to pick up the Starfinder CRB and partially to get it signed by the Glass Cannon Podcast Crew. However, I'm worried about making sure I get a copy in time for me to get it signed, as I'm only going to be at GenCon for one day.
Have there ever been any supply issues with releases at conventions? Is there a way for me to preorder it and pick up at GenCon? or should I go to one of the later days of GenCon, and hope my CRB arrived before I left?

I've seen this mentioned elsewhere, and the short answer is no, you need not be concerned. I'm going too and plan to be there Thursday morning. Seems like that'd be the best time to be absolutely certain, but again it's ostensibly unnecessary.
The question of picking up preorders at GenCon is as of yet unresolved, but also another discussion somewhere around here.

This will be my second time going to GenCon (the first being the release of Pathfinder back in 2009), and no one I went with had a problem getting a copy of the book they wanted. No problems, there were no problems at all for my friends who bought the Pathfinder Core Rulebook, and I think some of them bought their copies on the last day so they wouldn't be absorbed reading the book the entire weekend instead of enjoying GenCon '09.
This time though, I'm going to try to get there early to make sure I get one because I'm (irrationally) afraid that Paizo thinks they won't need as many books as they did for Pathfinder, so they won't have as many, and then they run out right as I get to the front of the line... I've had this nightmare every night since I bought my GenCon ticket. :'(
It probably won't happen, but anxiety/paranoia/OCD/whatever just makes me worry... Any chance a staff member can put one under the table and save it for me?

Usually with a big release like this, Paizo does sometimes sell out, but not until late Saturday or sometime Sunday. Expect long wait times on Thursday.
Yes. And each morning usually begins with lengthy lines to get in to the booth, but by early afternoon, you can usually walk into the booth at your leisure.

Oh Boy, you are in for a treat. In 2009, attendance was 27,000 and last year it was 60,000. The exhibit space has at least tripled and there will be games in Lucas Oil Stadium as well.
You will be blown away.

Thanks for the warm fuzzy!
This will be my first time, and my wish list is currently slotted almost exclusively with SF events! Partly because I'm a little overwhelmed with all the other options and figure it's a good focus, but mostly because I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!!

Sorry to bring this up again, but has anything official been announced about picking up preorders at Gencon yet? I know they will have plenty there, but after missing out on L5R I would like to at least guarantee getting the Starfinder books :)
It's a bit OT, but FFG has stated they will have L5R at their booth for sale so you can still get it even if you didn't get in the event. That's my plan.

Hard Choices. I want both Starfinder and L5R. I would spend 5 hours in the FFG booth to MAYBE get L5R.
