Will Dead Suns have campaign traits?
(Will Starfinder use the trait system?}

Obviously, we know that "themes" will replace traits.

But, will there be a Player's Guide for Dead Suns with campaign specific "themes" or archetypes for the AP?

Ooh! I like the idea of campaign specific themes. That could be a really awesome way to integrate yourself directly into the campaign.

From the Department of Expectation Management:
Dead Suns will not have campaign traits (as stated, themes are replacing traits in Starfinder), campaign-specific themes, or a player's guide.

Oooooh! Your Department sounds sinister! Please tell me you guys wear black suits, blue gloves, and sunglasses at night.

I hope future APs will at least have Player's Guides. As someone who regularly plays pre-written adventures being able to have a clue ahead of time what is a good fit for a game without cross-examining the GM is a nice thing to have.

Especially if you play as when released..instead of waiting a few months

This is true. And given the rate that the chapters of this AP are scheduled for release, I would urge Paizo to consider providing at least a "basic" player's guide.

For the first adventure path, there will be so little Starfinder content out that a player's guide would probably amount to "Create any sort of character that you want from the Starfinder Core Rulebook." Any suggested restrictions (such as alignment or home solar system) could probably be covered in another sentence or two.

By the time they are ready to start the 2nd adventure path, there may be enough options available for Paizo to want to encourage some options and discourage others.

... and what little would be needed for the GM could be handled in a 1-2 page appendix in the back of the module. :(

Maybe they can do a blog post as with the Curse of the Crimson Throne hardcover edition.
