A Goblin among Goblins...

Advice

So i would like some help/suggestions for a goblin char..... we have a party of goblins travelling the Wandering Tsar and it tearing us up. I have gone thru a few goblins already and would like to be able to survive more than a few sessions at a time.

So here is the run down.

15 point buy, Must be Goblin.
Good in combat ability/survivability
Decent out of combat skills/usefulness
Works well with current group (A cavalier who charges, Hunter with Giant mantis, a swastigator, and an unknown atm)

Thxs in advance

Goblin alchemist is always fun, maybe gunslinger if you GM allows it. And a personal favorite of mine is bloodrager

A druid fits your criteria I think. If you want to avoid being too like the hunter the elemental ally archetype might work, or a cave druid with the badlands domain.

Nature Fang Goblin - Give up some minor druid abilities and wildshape to get Slayer talents, Studied Target, and sneak attack. You can build the character to fit just about any slot.

What were your previous characters?

An Inquisitor or Warpriest could also be a good option.
The alchemist is a good route too.
A Skald could be an interesting option too, getting your heavy hitter to rage :)

Monster Codex offers an Alchemist Archtype worth considering. Winged Marauder. For the price of Mutagen, which you can get with a discovery a Dire Bat or Giant Vulture animal companion.

What level are you coming in at? Your party already has a couple of melee PCs with pets, so I'd think that a buffer might be pretty nice (Bard, Skald, etc). The Cure spells and Mirror Image might help your survivability too.

Since goblins suck at Charisma and your party seems a little weak at casting you could consider the Evangelist archetype Cleric for the buffer role too. Zarongel has the Animal domain in case you want an animal companion of your own (which I'd highly suggest). You could maximize the effect of your sermons by specializing in summoning or taking Battle Singer feat (but with the latter be sure the animal companions have Int 3 and understand the Goblin language)

I play a 17th level goblin with a 14th level cohort who is an Evangelist, and she helps our party quite a lot. Getting +3 on attacks, damage, and saving throws is huge (plus the Heal spell is pretty nice)

Sry i didnt include lvl.... We are lvl 9 atm.

As for previous chars.... ive been having a tough time in Tsar, I had a Oversized goblin Tetori monk, a dread vanguard anti paladin, a Gunslinger/alchemist, and currently a hunter with a marax companion...

Classes i was/am looking at iif i die... i mean when i die....

Skald wardrummer
Kineticist, either vanilla or K-Knight
Ectoplasmatist Spiritualist
..... I really dislike prepared casters, but possibly a warpriest or magus...

I really need something that can survive in combat while being useful, and still be playable outside combat.

Or some kind of grim reaper style char, wielding a Scythe, flying around and lopping peoples heads off.....

Feral Gnasher Barbarian grab big head racial trait and beast totem line kill everything

i know they use cha for casting BUT if you don't cast offensive spells Summoners are great for goblins.
you stay way back and bring big bad boddies to help you (minions yell "Boddy!")
get your level 9 eidolin to play with the other's pets and see who's tougher, or summon the right thing for the right job (water\air support? climbing mass grapping etc)

I wouldn't advise Beast Totem for a Feral Gnasher since gaining Claws would reduce your Bite damage and ideally you should be grappling for Bite damage multiple times per round. I'm also guessing that if Tetori didn't work out then FG might not be a great fit either.

I'm not that familiar with the occult classes, but the Wardrummer could probably work well since your party seems pretty melee heavy. If you combine buffing and debuffing it can really change the balance of power. A Witch could also potentially swing combats in your party's favor and could potentially participate in melee "by proxy" with Summon Monster or Animate Dead (or go with Energy patron and be the party blaster)
