Noble or Aristocrat PC Class

Product Discussion

Has someone concocted a playable and balanced Noble or Aristocrat class? One of my player's characters and the king of the realm have fallen in love and I'd like to have something to create his statistics with that is better than the NPC version.

Thanks,

DMC

What about the Noble Scion prestige class?

Of course. The obvious answer always escapes me...lol..

Thanks, Fuzzy!

Alternatively: Nobles of Porphyra.

Thanks, EZ. That looks exactly like something I could use, but I prefer hard copies to .pdfs so I'll have to wait on ordering it. But thanks again for pointing me toward it!

Same here - print beats electronic. I print most of my pdfs - as many as I can afford, that is. That being said, on OBS, there actually is a PoD-print version of nobles available. :)

Freeport: The City of Adventure (Green Ronin) has a full 20-level noble class that is very versatile. Apart from its influence-related central class features, it's something of a dilletante class: You get to choose new specialized training every few levels, so you can improve your diplomatic, military, or criminal abilities, or even pick up a bit of minor spellcasting.

I just wrapped up a Freeport campaign late last year, so when I started my current homebrew campaign, I had originally decided not to use any of the new material from F:CoA. (Among other reasons, it meant referencing a setting book as thick as the CRB.) But then I couldn't decide on a class for the starting city's ruler--NPC classes were too weak and boring, but I didn't want just another fighter or cavalier, either. So I made an exception to my earlier decision in order to use the noble.

The Noble from Freeport is, imho, one of the best iterations of the class for Pathfinder that I've seen.

Literally what we are putting out this week in our Alt. Path Social book.

A couple more options.

LPJ Design has the Blooded Noble.

Little Red Goblins also has a couple noble classes in Noble & Skirmisher Base Classes and in the Politic & Power.

First Ones Entertainment has a Noble base class.

While it is not named Noble, a rogue with the phantom thief archetype makes a pretty decent noble - broad skill-base, able to dabble in things thanks to its broad education, can pick up the aristocrat/celebrity-themed vigilante social talents without being a vigilante.

There are some great options here. Thanks, everyone!
