I've made a Thrower Build for Pathfinder Society and I plan on getting the Efficient Quiver so he doesn't have a dozen javelins and darts strapped to various parts of his body. But, I am wondering does a dart count as "the same general size and shape as an arrow." I assume it does, but want to make sure.
Second, does anyone know of a magic item that would impart a temporary magical bonus to something as he throws it? I don't want to buy a bunch of +1 javelins and darts. I could add returning to a couple but that seems cost prohibitive, too, especially if there's a reasonably priced item that will just let me throw mundane ammunition at a bonus.

Take a look at Blink-Back Belt (in U.E.)...
That's the way I do it...
Price 5,000 gp; Aura moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Weight 2 lbs.
A set of clips is attached to this segmented belt constructed of metallic links. Up to two one-handed melee weapons or up to four light melee weapons can be hung from the belt in straps or sheaths. When the wearer draws a weapon attached to this belt and throws it before the end of her next turn, the weapon teleports back to its strap or sheath immediately after the attack is resolved.
...though I am doing it with daggers, so... it lets me use the same magic dagger over and over in the same round...

It's a little pricey but dagger of doubling works well for thrown weapon builds. Or a sharding weapon.

Play a Vigilante. There is a talent that lets you pick a type of thrown weapon to treat as if it had the returning property.
The returning property is awful. It returns the weapon at the beginning of your next turn. You can't use it for full attacks or AoOs, and if you move from where you were standing when you throw the weapon it's lost.
