I have a question regarding the Medic Triage healing and Prestige Classes

Advice and Rules Questions

"Triage (Ex): A medic must be able to react immediately to any danger that threatens her allies. At 1st level, a medic gains the ability to perform a triage as a swift action. When she does, she can move up to her speed, so long as she ends her movement adjacent to an ally. That ally is healed for a number of hit points equal to three times the medic’s initiator level."

So as I understand it, the amount of healing I can give is based more on my initiator level than my actual medic level correct? So I could take a prestige class that increases initiator level 1 for 1 and keep my healing optimal in terms of how much i restore with each use?

There are a lot of third party classes and contents.. Where is initiator from? path of war? (googleing d20pfsrd and inititator brings that up, though I can't find it and don't know much about said thing)
Is it something in the path of war mechanics, or do you mean the Medic level.. as in the medic archetype for rouge? or the battle medic from psionics?

I'm assuming path of war content?

I can't find the actual Initiator stuff, and I don't own it. So, there can be something I miss, but just by going with the wording of Traige. It relies entirely on the medic's Initiator level..
I don't know... how medic levels and initiator levels interact..
but it sounds like yes,
as long as your initiator level goes up, regardless of your medic portion, the healing should go up accordingly. That last line is pretty difficult to read any other way that I can see.

Sorry, Yes the Medic is a Path of War new base class, that uses the martial adept disciplines. It's a stand alone class that comes in it's own pdf supplement for the Path of War expanded. It's pretty much a martial healer class, i like it a lot, it makes being a healer not as painful or boring in comparison to being a cleric who has to sacrifice usually a standard action to do any kind of healing, the Medic can heal as a swift action or a full around action, with the later hitting multiple allies, and using up twice the amount of triages, and depending on what medic expertises you learn as you level you can cure various status conditions, even death eventually.

Verdant Wheel

Absolutely you could! Initiator Level is the Martial version of Caster Level, and if a Prestige Class increases that, then all effects based on it increase too!

Another handy-dandy little option is to regularly multiclass, as it'll still increase at the rate of half your level.

Correct, and correct.

That sounds like a suppliment I'd like.

I love my strange version using "first age action" and a few things to make it heal decently. (no specific class, though you end up required to dip or vmc in order to get Healing Hands from Oracle of life sadly).

Sounds like a darn shiny class.

but yeah it goes off the thing so the prestige out to work fine
