So are those of us posted now pretty much in, or will the decision be made after we post the whole thing?

(I don't find making sheets easy, so knowing if there's at least tentative approval of my concept would be good!)

Second the defensive powers question.

Also - as part of buffing my race to 20 RP I wanted to take Soul Seer. (Have deathwatch permanently) - it's limited to Outsiders only, but I'm playing a reincarnated goddess of death/endings in a human body - so its immensely fluffy and appropriate to the character, but not mechanically permitted. Will the GM's allow this for fluff's sake or not? :)

And I'm still waiting for my "previous" gods questions to be determined. :)

You all are asking good questions and we are doing our part by talking them out. It takes a little longer because we aren't just one guy making a judgement call. :)

While you're working on questions, maybe you could think about this one, too?

On Drow, nobles vs regular:

Seeing how you're allowing races up to 20 rps, I'm hoping you can allow a modified Drow noble for me. Basically, Drow nobles are insanely expensive rp-wise because of their spell-like abilities. I'd be happy to ditch the Drow noble suite of SLAs for the much more manageable and reasonably priced regular one.

According to the race builder, that puts me at a very reasonable 19 points. See:

One of the benefits to three GM's is we can get three views and look at potential impacts.

We are reviewing questions from:

Vrog Skyreaver
Devon Prissault

If you have an unanswered question, please repost it.

Hi! Chess here with my submission. It's still a work in progress, but the background and a draft of crunch are already here. I'm on the same boat as some of my friends here in regards to the adaptation of Godbound - as in, waiting to see how it will look like in Pathfinder before making decisions on words and gifts. I hope you guys allow a drunk good-hearted troublemaker to be in your ranks :)

And he is all finished up. I tried to make a nice mix of wizard but also took some powers that can help the party. I am going to do a little bit of crafting if we think that will come up often. I've taken wondrous so far and will pick up arms and armor soon. I was a little unclear on how the even feats were to go to fluff so I made sure they all added to his back story of daemon blood and his devotion to Urgathoa. I'm thinking his blood has only just awakened do to his death and brush against the borders of Abadon.

I appreciate the clarification on the words. Mostly finished (just working out what equipment he will get) but I did have one area of further questions.

I was raising Sedelion's soon to be new friend/animal companion (Starsoul) from non existence to level 5 and had two questions about them in general:

1) How are we doing HP for comapanions (currently she will have 5d8)?
2) For the 4th (and subsequent) level stat boost, it says to raise by +1... given PCs are getting +2 for level 4, will animal companions get a similar extra stat point, or are we sticking to the normal progression plan?

Everything should be on my profile, gold total will drop as I add equipment.

Also I think I missed it, how are we going to be doing hit points? For right now I just maxed them but I don't know if we are rolling or doing half or higher.

Well, this is what they put out on PC HP when asked:

Correct. This is a not-nice world in general.

Update to Ceathair's/Four's background due to PC death requirement. Also for the three GMs, having an updated summary of which exact APs failed may help those, like me, who are crafting a background after the failure of the heroes in the APs. Crunch I'm not as worried about.

After arriving in what was left of the River Kingdoms and points north since her training was complete, Four took it upon herself to target areas still having Eldest loyal (or at least neutral) fey so she would have a support base to draw upon. Her first set of organizational strikes went well, when she was able to convince fey to pay attention and combine their talents vs the onrush of demons, refugees, and armies of the damned or desperate. However, for every victory she helped craft, two more defeats were handed to the fair folk. Some simply retreated into the first world, others died, and others switched sides. Unbeknownst to Four, her exposure to the released energy of the fey made her less and less mortal. Eventually, she met her ends at the hands of the Hunter and his hounds, attempting to protect a group of atomie children from becoming hors-d'oeuvres, but they were too much. Upon her death she awoke somewhere in a forest, with no memory of why she ended up there. All she knew was that changelings normally don't have tattoos in sylvan embossed on their arms, especially in alphabets not used in thousand of years...

Working on char sheet, but like I said, I'm slow at it ^^

And Ceathair's a Kingmaker too? Neat! Same area!

The Kingmaker traits are kinda naff, but it's a fun region.

Which APs failed? All of them. Except for Reign of Winter. That one just didn't happen because we like babba yaga

Reign of Winter happened, but it didn't fail for two reasons:

1) Yes, I unabashedly like Baba Yaga, both as an NPC and an overall concept. She's *badass*. However, the same can be said for Elvanna. Being brazen enough to attack the Queen of Witches is pretty badass as well.

2) Dealing with global, unending, winter is just not fun, from a GMs perspective(at least mine). There is already a LOT going on, including a fair amount I have to actually sit down and write up on my own.

I really didn't want to add dealing with stuff like winter terrain, food shortages, cold weather precautions, etc on top of everything else.

That said, RoW has been slightly altered:

The PCs faced off against Elvanna, and 'won' in so much as they were able to chase her off. She took her army of winter east, across the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, over the Tusk Mountains(where she suffered heavy losses due to the Mythic Frost Giant whose name I am forgetting) and settled into the area of the Worldwound known as Frostmire.

So partial victory/failure.

Isn't the asteroid drop going to cause some cooling in the region, simply due to all of the dust blocking solar radiation? Or did the gods just say no and only the elves went poof? (no loss. Elves get annoying after a while.) Are you also drawing a line at which point the APs stop? Such as before Reign of Winter, etc?

See all that? That, in my head, somehow summarized itself as "RoW didn't happen" :)

It's my favorite AP to date, with Iron Gods as a second and CoTCT coming up third. Brevity is the soul of wit, @GM Choon.

Yup scrolled right past it. Thank you very much!

Finally updated and ready for rebirth! Everything is on the sheet, though still awaiting clarification on animal companion minor details.

If I missed anything, or if any of our panel of GMs has questions about something please do not hesitate to ask!

Hm.... I am strongly considering the mechanically suboptimal approach of just, like, filling *all* my feat slots with Magical Tail and being a 9-Tailed Kitsune right off the bat.

I've always considered it a shame that 9-tail wasn't actually some kind of Prestige class full of wily trickery.

Hey, they are pretty tricky spells, but yea ^^

I'm on a work conference through the end of the week, so I can't update my character until I get to a real keyboard.

It is!

Lol, I hope so! It's hard to write up a concept when some of my jumping off questions are still being determined. :D

Ok, still in progress obviously, but base stats, feats, appearance, and bio are all up. Not a lot of Kitsune avatar options, I'm lucky one of them fit ^^

I go with high charisma as 'really good at presenting the image she wants and knows how to adjust that' rather than 'drop dead overwhelming beauty.'

Quite literally received an email including that product today.
What coincidence!

Nice ^^ 'Course I don't have 'fox form' yet, but it's only a matter of time ^^

For godbound words, I'm thinking Fertility (the Kitsune goddess is one of agriculture, and there's a lot of related powers useful in negotiation), and either Command or Deceit. Neither is quite diplomacy, but by the right gifts will suit quite well. Probably command.

Chess finds all these interesting games, you know? Also, my first thought was to take my Rise of the Runelord character as well, and I'm glad to see others of that like. Though...we had two lawful characters make the decisions, as the others always died. Always. One of those characters was mine and the other was a monk and we

Spoiler:
freed the pitfiend, thinking he served his sentence.
I'm certain that this would have led to a great death scene.

I'm certain that character is who I would play again, as the playstyle was very fun.

However, that character has a 3rd party mystery that I will link to below. If 3rd party material isn't allowed, I understand.

Void Oracle Mystery

Yea, sorry, we're not allowing 3PP. Normally, I am all for using 3PP stuff, but I think there's just too much going already in the game, without needing to add in more via 3PP.

I apologize if this has been addressed, but I'm curious:

Have you already determined at what point each of the APs have failed?

I know that somethings would be wildly different depending on the 'when' regarding some NPC henchmen and exactly how much resources the BBEG would have expended or still have as an Ace.

Would it be germane to ask if you have decided on those things and if it should be considered when writing backgrounds?

Pin, why don't you PM me, and let me know exactly what you're inquiring about.

If you need a certain NPC alive or something, just let me know, and we'll see if we can work that out. I'm already planning on doing that anyways with some of the NPCs I personally like.

The Second Darkness asteroid drop, you mean? That one does strike me as one of the less-fun fallouts too, yea.

I kinda like how some of the other fallouts interact. Like Cheliax has all kinds of internal problems, but it also managed to gain territory down in the Shackles, so House Thrune isn't out of the picture yet.

And depending when Wrath of the Righteous ends, there could be another Runelord running about... who may be even partially redeemed or open to redemption.

I'm not a regular Pathfinder player (was D&D 3e and am 5e), so I'm a little overwhelmed with the massive amount of feats to choose from.

I'm putting together a dwarf rogue and I'm looking for some archery feats, hoping to take advantage of sneak attack. Is there anything that lets me use sneak attack at further than 30feet? What are the best feat for archers at that range? (Point blank and Precise?) Or should I just go for throwing daggers? ...can they be thrown that far? is 10feet max for them? is there perhaps a chance to beef up their range?

Also, am I stuck at 20feet movement as a dwarf? Are there some Boots of Striding or some such to help my chihuahua legs?

Help me Obi-Nerd Kenobi, you're my only hope

...I mean "I'd really appreciate some help on this guys, thank you very much"

Elaine
I'm still building crunch out in hero lab, but here's a quick overview.

Crunch Summary:

Magus 1/Arcanist 7. We're going to take some archetypes and head towards either Magaambyan initiate or maybe Eldritch Knight, it sort of depends what I find when thinking about background feats.

IC waking up Fluff:

Elaine awoke. She was grimy, covered in pharasma's dirty fingerprints. She felt unclean and in desperate need of a bath. She was also in a stable. Being poked. By an idiot. At least she had armor on. Wait.

"Pharasma you unbelievable witch. This is ridiculous. It isn't even real armor. This is that trumped up crusader's idea, with her barely covers my thighs skirt! It doesn't even fit! Ugh. Where did, oh will you stop poking me already?"
She focused on the child, shoving his shovel out of the way.

"That's quite enough, I'm alive. Yes, and thank you for checking so thoroughly with such a clean tool. Let's start over. Hi. I'm Elaine. You are?"

She waits barely a breath before continuing. "I don't suppose you've seen a motherly woman, blonde hair, sensible clothing? Or an elderly woman, piercing stare, doesn't take nonsense from..."

At the boys terrified shaking she grins.

"Ah, yes. You've met. Which way did she go? Thank you. You're the best. I'll just be going then. Have you seen my shoes? No? I suppose I'll have to make a new pair. I cannot believe she stole my slippers."

Elaine Aslandaughter "The Lionhearted, The Amberhaired Flame of the Void, Firehair Nighteyes Half-Elven, Wielder of the Red Shoes" was back, and the world would quake. Once she found her shoes, of course.

Background AP Fail:
We lost during the climax of Wrath of the Righteous. This is important because our goddess is a pre-current-golarian-dieties goddess banished by ancient pact. As long as she was allowed 3 avatars on the plane, and they were kept safe (defined as 'don't die on golarion, don't get fed to the eater by pharasma, reincarnate + whatever the GM wants to add to this hook') she would absent herself from the cosmos. Unfortunately, the final events of WotR merge the wound with golarion, and dying there counted as the gods breaking their bargain. So now ancient primordial goddess of creation is leaking back, Pharasma reincarnated her three avatars to try and slow down the rush of goddess energy towards the plane.

@GMs, others re: WotR timeline - Nikolaus and I are assuming we made it to the final hurrah and failed to stop the ritual.

There will be more to this as I flesh things out, but that's where I am right now.

Honestly wasn't looking at anything specific for myself personally; I was more just curious as obviously certain aspects of the APs are actually dependent on the players to trigger in the first place. If they died first, some enemy groups, NPCs, and even powerful magic items/artifacts may not have even been introduced into the "basic" premise of that AP.

As an example Rise of the Runelords has several places which the heroes could have died which could radically changed the outcome of several of the smaller side stories. The Skinsaw Murders and Hook Mountain Massacre plot lines are excellent places to point to. My main question was if the heroes are being canonically written to have failed "at any point during the AP", or if the assumption is every single hero party reached the climactic end battle and failed there and then.

It obviously would drastically change some things since a lot of the APs have the heroes cripple BBEG resources significantly before reaching the end, or possibly acquiring powerful magic items (Swords of Sin, etc.) which would then fall into the BBEGs' clutches.

I was just curious in case, there was already a consensus among the GMs maybe this AP failed in Book 4 and that AP Book 3, or whatever. That could change some people's write-ups is all. :-)

Sorry if I was too cryptic before.

No problem! Thankfully, I've done so many APs and have many ideas to pick from.

I have two in mind, so I'll write up their neat-bits to show.

Alright kids, here's a list of deities and what there status is. Note that atm none are *definitely* dead. I will post an updated list once I figure that out, but this will give you some info to play with. Also, only going to cover the core 20 right now:

Finally, for those that say 'Unknown' it currently means I'm not sure what I'm doing with them.

Abadar: Dead
Asmodeus: Alive and active
Calistria: Alive and seriously active
Cayden Cailean: Dead
Desna: Unknown
Erastil: Uknown
Gorum: Alive and very active
Gozreh: Alive
Iomedae: Unknown
Irori: Alive, ya can't get rid of kill perfection, lol
Lamashtu: Alive, and active
Nethys: Alive
Norgorber: Uknown
Pharasma: Alive, she brought ya back
Rovagug: Alive, and partially free
Sarenrae: Alive, and active
Shelyn: Missing, still able to grant spells
Torag: Unknown
Urgathoa: Unknown
Zon-Kuthon: Unknown

If there are any non core deities you have questions about, please either ask here, or PM me.

Muga would care if Shizuru was dead, as she's a goddess he respects (swordplay is in her portfolio), but he wouldn't exactly have anyway of knowing this.

Hm.... Desna is Sed's goddess, so he cares about her.

On a curious about list, I would have it divided into two based on reason.

Curious because might prove to be a threat:
Besmara, Dahak, Ghlaunder, Groetus, Razmir (know he isn't technically a god, but would be interesting to find out how he has weathered the apocalypse/if he somehow used it to cross that divide into real divinity), Zyphus and Lissala (with the return of a runelord, did she return as well?)... and I suppose the Iron Gods from the AP titled the same could fall on this list as well.

Curious because might be an ally/might usurp part of their profile if dead:
Brigh, Milani, Alseta (something tells me she is dead, but you never know), Aspu, and Mitra (again, probably dead).

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I'm assuming the goblin hero-gods are considered dead as well?

Hadregash, Venkelvore, Zarongel and Zogmugot

Broken Monkeygod wrote:

Daikitsu, patron goddess of Kitsune?

She's relatively minor even in Tian and not at the site of any AP, so I figure her odds are fairly high.

Good to see mom made it out OK.

>Rovagug

On a scale of bad to bad, that's really, really bad.

Dark Archive

I'm curious about if the four horseman have begun to elbow in since it does look like the end of the world.

Golarion cosmology is crowded.

Well given that my entire character idea revolves around Magdh, I assume the Eldest are still in play?
