Done with work. I have tonight and tomorrow to fix this. Not sure why I cannot get my PM to work, perhaps I need someone to send me a message. I'll figure it out soon.
I can see what happened here now. What looked like the most excellent and realistic RPG dialogue in the game went downhill. Not going to point fingers, but it just looks like things got out of control and nobody addressed it to me. My fault for not having my PM set us like I thought.
My ruling is that continue with the dialogue as you have done but use a bit more tact and avoid ALL ill feelings before deciding to snap back and quit. Perhaps I should have stepped in sooner, but again, I saw no real conflict between players on this. So, just use better judgment on the dialogue and keep it in game. The one thing I wish to avoid is to tell you how to roleplay, not going to happen.
With that, we are now short one player. I will keep the party at five until folks leave or PCs die in-game. In regards to leadership, I shall leave it up to the party to decide on three options:
#1, I create an NPC of higher rank and level to start you off until you folks develop a better grasp of how things roll. Then later on, receive a battlefield promotion.
#2, leave rank out of this completely.
#3, continue on, with Celebrindal is team leader or someone else chooses.
Personally, I like #1 best, but I want a vote from all five of you on this tonight if not early Sunday.
Finally, I shall step things back in game to the briefing room scene and go from there.
This is our course of action. I don't want something like this to happen again. There will be no more discussion about this except about the three choices to vote on.

I am not entirely sure what you mean by 'until you folks develop a better grasp of how things roll'.
I personally would vote for option 3. I, personally, am having fun so far. All of Fellorian's reactions have been only hers.
EDIT: Test PM sent...

Yeah I am totally fine with celeb being leader. Out of character and in character he is the only one that seems interested.

With option #1, I would add in an NPC as leader until one of you PCs emerge as the "chosen one." In which case, the NPC would just be reassigned to another mission as dictated by the higher ups. Now that I think about it, simply thrusting everyone wasn't the best idea. In reality, no brand new unit would be sent downrange without some sort of veteran leadership in a competent military. However, OUT OF GAME, the Elonalryn was testing everyone to see what would happen.
So far, I see two votes for continuing with Celebrindal as leader, one vote with an NPC leader, and one abstain. Unless Celebrindal votes differently, we shall go on with Option #1.
Now that I have opened up my PM, your thoughts have flown in like a flood. I have heard everyone's opinions, concerns, thoughts, grips, complaints, compliments, another DM ruling is in order. From now on, keep the little flame comments and such to a minimum. We must avoid turning this into a bullying problem which is almost dangerously close to being that. Many of you didn't think of it that way, but in some regards, it is. I am not asking you how to role play, as that takes the fun out of multiplayer gaming. But it is what is it. I have zero intentions of ending this campaign, prefering to dismiss players and bring in new ones. This may come off as the DM being a butthead, but lines have to be drawn. Believe me when I say this part of gaming really sucks. I'm supposed to be a nice guy (without a girlfriend or sex partner...heheh), I want to keep it that way.
Ok, my lamenting and butthead personage is out of the way. Give me a few hours this Sunday in order to backtrack a little bit and we will continue the game. May the Dice Be With Us.

I will do my best to open up a Roll20.net gameboard for players to use during combat and other good stuff. I will also set up a Google Docs for maps and other good stuff. All of you could use coordinate graph board for details.
http://www.calendariu.com/tag/coordinate-grid-paper
Until then, we shall simply use our monitors as the base for orientation. For those who don't already know, the top of your screen will be north, bottom is south, left is west, and right is east. EVERYTHING will start with the group in the middle of the screen unless separated in some way. Distances will always be in feet, except in certain cases such as maps, etc. Once I get a mapboard set up, the squares will represent 5 feet which is the area of a medium sized creature or PC.
I must warn you all that I am technically challenged, even after graduating from college. So be patient with me as I figure out how to do things the modern way.

At the bottom of the field into which you type your posts, there is a thing that says :
How to format your text
And it has a button marked 'show'
If you click the button it will give you instructions for how to format your text using Bold text, Out Of Character comments, Italicized text, and other types of useful things.

No problem, ElfChamp. I had to be told where it was too. It was just so long ago now that I didn't even think of it until I saw the url you posted.
The one thing I will say about formatting is this: Do not use the [dice='nameofroll'] tags that they suggest. If you do, and someone replies to your roll with dice rolls in their reply it does weird stuff...
I always use the following:
[ooc]'name of roll': [dice]
(of course, remember to add the appropriate end tags)

Lidras have you joined the new campaign that was made? Go to elf champs campaigns and look for the alternate kingmaker campaign.

As I have been recently advised by people from Paizo, when I told applicants for a PbP I am setting up that I would share the player's guide with them, even though it is free, you are not allowed to distribute it. Anyone can download it for free "here".
For the sake of good relationships with Paizo, no one should redistribute it to anyone else.

Elf Champ .. to answer an old question of yours:
To deactivate the old campaign threads, do these steps:
1) Click Here to go to the campaign page for the Kingmaker, The Elves are Coming! thread.
2) On the left side of the screen, click the Edit this campaign link.
3) Directly under the field displaying the campaign name, put a checkmark in the This campaign is no longer active checkbox.
You can repeat this with any other threads you wish to close, such as the one you used for recruitment, by clocking on the name of the campaign as step one.

Once all of you are fully assembled at the campfire, the elf lord casts a spell, and retrieves a map from his shoulder pouch. He lays out the map that floats on air as if onto an invisible table. With that, he begins.
First off, I shall tell you about the area in which we will transfer responsibility to you. This forested area is called the Narlmarches. It is a combination of forest and swamp, well, the swamp areas which is south and west of here are more like soft ground with little standing water, but it's swamp nonetheless. Everything east, north, and southeast of here is solid. At the narrowest point which is north of us," which he points onto the map, "is about thirty to thirty-six miles across. From where we are at, the Narlmarches widens out. The north-south axis is roughly over three hundred miles long, making the place look like an angular bottle."
He pauses briefly."This entire area is full of water entities. The most northern river is called the Thorn River. It is apply named for the thick briars and sharp brambles that line both sides of the river. The width ranges from thirty to sixty feet wide, and isn't very deep; thirty feet at the most. South is this is the Skunk River. This is also well named for the sulfuric springs that gives it that nasty smell of rotten eggs. This one is wider, but equal in depth as the Thorn. This last one inside the Narlmarches is called the Murque River. The origin is south of us with dangerous swamps lining the flanks. The wet grounds give way further east though. Not deep at all, but you can still drown in it, and judging the width is difficult due to the swampy areas."
"As you may expect during your arrival, the vegetation here is dangerous. The ground cover restricts your line of sight dramatically, but once you get into the trees, you're fine. Plenty of strong trees allow travel into the canopy if you all have the skills. Looking down into the thickets is a problem but only if you are trying to spot something standing still. Movement usually reveals a trespasser's location. Access to water is plentiful here, there are dozens of small creeks that all drain into the three rivers mentioned earlier."
"That's the easy stuff, now it gets interesting from here," he adds with a more serious tone. "This entire area is hostile. There are few spots that can truly be called 'safe' from predators, marauding bandits, undead filth, and monsters both wandering and domestic. There's plenty of docile animals here, but the rest are not to be taken lightly. Everything from dire wolves, goblins, kobolds, mites, trolls, tatzlwyrms, owlbears, giant boars, and plenty of bandits are here. Don't get me started on those will-o-wisps!" he said with a tinge of bitterness in his voice. His face got dark and foreboding but he quickly regained his majestic composure. "Next up are some of the details of some of the more distinct denizens inside the Narlmarches, starting with the fey."

Question for all: How would you like for me to run combat? Use Roll20? or just dialogue? Perhaps a better idea comes to mind?
I like to use Roll20 for my pathfinder games.

Hmm, looks like posts by players have been few and far in between. I would like everyone to post more often, say once daily or once every two days. We are getting bogged down with too many long delays. Hoping that people are not already getting bored as you are about to start running into things: humans, wandering monsters, potential quests, and so on. As you DM, I shall also do my best to keep things flowing despite my work demands.
If there are any concerns, please feel free to PM me.
