empyreal sorcerer and class skills

Rules Questions

empyreal sorcerer

"You use your Wisdom, rather than your Charisma, to determine all class features and effects relating to your sorcerer class, such as bonus spells per day, maximum spell level you can cast, and the save DCs of your spells."

Are class skills considered class features?

thank you Nicole

You don't use Charisma to determine which skills are class skills, so there would not be any effect.

Class skills are class features. Just not something that line interacts.

"You use your Wisdom, rather than your Charisma, to determine all all class features"; you would replace the charisma ability score modifier for use magic device with wisdom ability score modifier, because use magic device is a class skill using charisma for its ability score modifier.

A class skill is a class feature by definition (I think), therefore use magic device is a class feature because it is a class skill.

Which list of skills are class skills for you, that's clearly a class feature.

But what ability you use for a skill, has nothing to do with what class you are (except for some inquisitor stuff). It's not a class feature that UMD uses Charisma.

So an Empyreal sorcerer doesn't use UMD with Wisdom.

Your class skills aren't determined by ability scores.

Yes

And

Yes

You don't use Wisdom for UMD.

Empyreal does nothing to your skills. WIS being your casting stat does not change what your class skills are. It does not change what ability score those skills use (e.g. UMD is still CHA).
