(Curse you gravity(and overweight flabby stomach!))

Well, it been a good day today. I have earned my horse-hairdresser Apprenticeship, by being the one, to cut and groom the manes, tails and ears of the stables 24 horses (its a first time for me).

So tonight I going to cook myself something good. I'm thinking a

Potato - bell pepper - garlic - turkey - smoked bacon - cream - (rosemary, peppercorn and parsley) Gratin.

And now for something completely different:

Yea, I know the feeling kile, procrastination has become something of an artform for me, which annoys me every day as I really think I could spend my time much more effectively if I could just pull myself together.

Sounds delicious!

Today I made my usual wheat berries with veggies that I do whenever I don't want to think what to do. I used boiled carrots and peas, simmered peppers, tomatoes and onions, and some ham. And boiled wheat berries, of course. With some black pepper and basil.

While only tangentially related to food (the woman was determined to be lactose intolerant through genetic testing), I thought this was interesting and it made me think of Kileanna because it's in Lugo.

Elba, Mesolithic Woman.

Oh, my!!!
She looks like my granny when she was younger!!! I'm totally not kidding!!!

In Piedrafita there are some iron age settlements so I am not surprised that they found that woman there.

They also make my favorite cheese there.

Using the WiFi at the library. Checking in to let everyone know that I'm still around. Not sure how long I have before I'm booted off. It's a good thing that I get paid tomorrow, then I can post as much as I want at work.

They didn't mention whether or not she had had children (maybe they didn't check her pelvis bones or they were too degraded to tell). But maybe there's a chance you and several thousand others are related to her. In England few years ago they found someone who was descended from Otzi (the Ice Man).

Well,it's almost 3 right now. I'll soon have to go to the bus stop, which is right across the street, and head off the work.

Wow! The 3D model of her face looks just like Linda from my department's accounting office!

Elba had a lot of descendants it seems!!!

Her portrait looks a lot like my grandmother did when she was younger and her 3d model has a slight resemblance to many members of my family. It's disturbing.

Meanwhile, Dalindra keeps comparing me to my character's girlfriend. Disturbing too xD

The article is obviously wrong. She was a summoner, at least level 5, who had summoned three aurochs to make a stampede against a level-appropriate encounter, but all of them were slain by a hungry pit spell.

That explains everything.
So we have Summoners and Witches in Galicia. Such a rich culture we have xD

I was talking about it with Dalindra the other day. We have at least 4 words in Galician that mean Witch.

The aurochs, if we have learned anything from The Flintstones, should be good paper shredders.

Today I made rice with spinach, cheese, raisins and pine kernel. It took me about 20 minutes to cook everything and it was completely improvised but it was the best spinach dish I made in a lot of time. Sometimes simplicity is best.

Everyone doing alright today? I'm actually feeling somewhat decent, so I might have a hug or a pat on the back to spare, if anyone needs one.

Not really knowing what to have tonight for dinner though.

Spinach...not really one of my favorites, so this dish might not really be my thing. But I agree about improvised dishes, its basically what I make every Monday from the weekends leftovers.

Good morning, afternoon, or evening!

My dogs got me up earlier than usual and now I can't go back to sleep. I have a lot of housework to do today, so I guess it's a blessing in disguise. It gives me a little more time to goof off before I have to get started.

I don't know what I do with my time, whenever I have more free time I end occupying it with something and it is gone.
I have to learn to relax. I'm hyperactive.
These days I've not been called to work so my RPG projects are advancing a lot, I have replenished my reserve of homemade sauces, doughs... and even cleaned my house. I must be very bored to start cleaning...

Kjeldorn, if you have some pats to share, I can take one or two.

Being disabled and unable to work I have nothing but time. You'd think I'd have a spotless house and a ton of games ready to run. But that's depression for you; it doesn't let you do all the things you want or even should. It weighs you down like a blanket made of lead and even physically hurts some days. Fortunately this is not one of those days. It's simply an unmotivated day.. lol. I have a game this weekend but a friend of mine pretty much invited herself down for a visit (which kinda pissed me off, but I'm too much of a sap to say no), so I have to entertain a guest as well as run a game. She's never seen a PF game run before so that'll be her entertainment for tomorrow evening.. lol

I know what is having a lot of time to kill and feeling so down that you don't want to do anything. I've been there for many years. That's probably why now that I am fine I have such a big need of being doing things all the time.

Is your hyperactivity bothering you and is it something that happens often or rarely?
Relaxing can be pretty hard if you, like me, have ADD-like tendencies, so its all about finding that/those thing(s) that helps you focus your thoughts. For me its cooking, it is probably the time when I'm the most focused, because my mind just settles into a groove were there just is the food and me, no other distractions. At other times it mental world- or character building that can help me focus, if I feel my thought scattering, but every person is a bit different so it hard to say what may help you the most.
So that the best advise I can give try and find that thing that helps you focus, maybe it you art? cooking? your stories? Try and think about a little and see if it help.

(Gods talking about this makes me remember how focused I could be when I was on Ritalin).

Happy Friday, everyone!

I woke up about an hour before my alarm today, so I got up early and made a more elaborate breakfast than normal for a weekday: A breakfast sandwich of a fried egg, Black Forest ham, sliced tomato, and sliced avocado on organic seven-grain bread. Also had a fresh grapefruit and two cups of coffee.

You lost me at grapefruit and coffee... lol

I can stay focused when I do things, but I have a hard time being idle. Even if I lack talent I have a lot of energy when it comes to imaginating things, and it's like I have to put everything out of my head and into practice, whatever is a drawing, a recipe, a story...

I've never had to take meds, fortunately. When I was so thin and depressed I visited a psychiatrist who decided to trust me to see if I could get out of it on my own. She later confessed that she never thought I will, but realize that I would need meds and agree to take them. But me, not knowing that I couldn't do it on my own, I did. I was very lucky.

Your a brave girl, and don't you let anyone say otherwise.

Do you feel more comfortable it you have something to play around with in your hands when your doing chores, cooking or writing?
And does it really bother you if you have an idea, thought or concept and you can't commit it to paper/digital medium?

(by the way sorry for almost sounding like a therapist)

I have a hard time not doing anything with my hands but sometimes chewing gum helps. And I am more concerned about too many ideas but not being able to write everything down before I forget most of them. My brain is a mess.

Well, before I found the things that help me focus, I used a somewhat strange trick to help me empty my head of all my jumbled thoughts, and at the same time preserve the good parts.

I had an old style tape dictaphone, that I would record my thought on, and later listen through to sieve all the good part out of.
Now I have no idea if it could help you, as some people find it very strange to talk and listen to themselves, but if it appeals to you it might be worth a try to find something to record your thoughts on.

Edit: Just remember to put the thing away once in a while. Especially if you, like me, have a tendency to think you're particularly erudite when you are drunk.

I fortunately have Dalindra around, and he helps me a lot to disconnect. If I was alone I'd probably gone insane a lot of time ago.

I don't usually drink alcohol but I'm pretty sure that drinking a lot of coke and tea as I do is probably not good to me.

Wisdom teeth! I didn't know how they were called in English!

In Spanish they are judgement teeth.

I've got my wisdom teeth pulled too. Not that I used to have a high Wis score before but that could explain why I've been becoming more oblivious lately. A -4 to Wis score surely hurts.

That's the Kile we; adore sensible, modest-ish (okay modest about drinking might be a better turn of frase) and a allround friendly person.

Do you feel a bit better now or do I have to make a doctor Kjeldorn alias, and start bugging you with that? ^^ .
