Please do forgive this very basic question but this is actually the first time I'm actually buying from the online store (due to international shipping rates I generally get them from Amazon).
I really want to buy digital issues of the Ironfang Invasion AP as quick as possible after their launch, since I have a couple of weeks of free time and would like to start DMing soon (also the conversion rates for my currency at a good point right now). So how do I go about doing that?
From the product page I added what seems to be the physical copy to my cart, but there was no digital option. Is there a subscription service for the digital issues?

There isn't a digital subscription. If you're not a subscriber then you need to wait for the street date to buy the digital versions. That's March 29 this month. If you subscribe then you get the digital versions when your physical copies ship.

There is no subscription for digital only AP Volumes.
To get the fastest possible access to the digital volumes, you would have to get the normal subscription, which adds the digital issue to your account as soon as your physical issue is shipped, up to two weeks before the street date and start of sale of the digital version.
If shipping is prohibitive (for example if you don't live in the US of A), your only option is to wait for the street date and purchase the digital version then.
Hope that helps,
Franz

That really helps, guys. Unfortunately (as Franz pointed out) shipping costs are indeed prohibitive (actually they're not that bad but the combination of exchange rate and taxes ends up tripling the price). I'm still considering it, though. I fear that they'll end up shipping and charging both books this month and that would put a deep hole in my account.

I'm from Brazil, Gorbacz. Our currency, the "real" (ikr) is valued at somewhere around 33 cents to the dollar (one dollar equals 3.15 "reais").
There is a 6% tax on international credit card operations, a 60% importation tax on customs (which may or may not be charged), a 18% tax on "movement of merchandise" through state lines and finally a flat R$12 mail tax for handling international shipping, for some reason. That's 84% the total value (including shipping) +12R$ in taxes.
Paizo's shipping is pretty reasonable at $8.29, but the taxes just throw it all out of proportion.
The first issue (including shipping) totals $25.78. That's $47.43 after taxes. When converting to the local currency, that's R$ 149.38, plus the R$ 12 mail tax, for a total of R$ 161.38. To provide a frame of reference, a simple lunch costs R$ 20 (a good dinner R$ 30 or 40) and a full tank of gas for my car costs R$ 150.

In the past I've employed numerous ways to buy Paizo physical products (ordering online and delivering to traveling friends), but they all take way too much time and the Ironfang Invasion hype is way too real. When I bought the Rise of the Runelords (excellent product BTW) hardcover from Amazon it took around three months to arrive. Just now I have around five weeks of free time and would love to start the campaign in that timeframe.

Hello Rune,
It looks like folks have mostly answered your questions by now, but I just wanted to chime in and verify that the only way to get the PDF before the March 29th street date would be to have a physical subscription. However, both books #115 and #116 are coming out this month so you would receive both of them automatically with a subscription. Otherwise, you can purchase PDFs individually after they have reached their street date, which is usually listed on the product page.
Just let me know if there are any further questions or concerns that you may have, and I'll do my best to help out. Thanks, and have a great weekend!

I really want to thank the community for the swift, empathetic answers. I did some research today and learned that some of those taxes (the 60% and 18% ones) aren't applied to books (they do apply on miniatures, which I have ordered before). I just really have to make sure customs won't interpret them as toys but as printed materials. How would I go about making sure of that?
