Monk's Unarmed Strike, Dragon Style, and Power Attack.

Rules Questions

Does a Monk's unarmed strike with 1.5x Str from Dragon Style qualify for the 50% bonus to Power Attack Damage?

No. it's neither a two handed weapon nor a primary natural attack, so it doesn't qualify for the increased power attack damage.

nope, what imbicatus said.

Two questions... According to the rules, monks unarmed strikes are natural weapons for things that enhance or improve them, right? So...

1. Does power attack fall in the category of "enhancing or improving" natural weapons? If not, why?

2. Since unarmed strikes are considered natural weapons, are they primary or secondary if an effect calls for one of them? (according to the rules, regardless of the type, if they only have one type of natural attack, it is considered primary)

Many thanks.

1. Power attack is an additional effect that has no direct effect on the weapon you are attacking with. It is affected by the weapon you attack with which is not the same thing.

2. Unarmed strike is neither primary nor secondary, it is simply an unarmed strike. That part of unarmed strike simply allows it to answer "yes" when a rule asks "are you a natural attack?" It does not grant any other abilities nor does it care about any other aspects of natural attacks.

Monk unarmed count as natural but are not primary or secondary.
Power attack doesn't enhance.

I just want to note to the op that this subject comes up every now and then, and irregardless of whether a consensus is reached the "it doesn't " base is consistently large and adamant. So for anything but a home game where you can ask your GM what they think, you should assume the conservative view.
