Damage Stacking (yeah, it never does but I thought that I'd ask)

Rules Questions

If a barbarian with the barbarian rage power of

Angelic Attacks:
ACG (p.19)
Angelic Attacks (Su): At 1st level, your melee attacks are
considered good-aligned weapons for the purpose of
bypassing damage reduction. Furthermore, when you deal
damage with a melee attack to an evil outsider, you deal an
additional 1d6 points of damage. This additional damage
stacks with effects such as align weapon and those granted
by a weapon with the holy weapon special ability.
took a level of bloodrager that had the
Celestial:
ACG (p. 80)
Celestial Blood, Lesser (Su): While raging, the barbarian’s
melee attacks are considered good-aligned weapons
for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction.
Furthermore, the barbarian deals an additional 1d6
points of damage when she damages an evil outsider with
a melee attack.
bloodline would the bonus damage for evil outsiders stack to be 2d6? The fact that Angelic Attacks can (sometimes) stack (as per the ACG P. 19) has me asking this question.

This is the card game forum. (I flagged the post.)

That said, one of the RPGers in the forum may well answer you.

Sorry. Now I feel like an idiot....

No big deal - happens from time to time.

Well, they're untyped bonuses from different sources, so I'm fairly sure that , just like Holy and Axiomatic stack against Chaotic Evil creatures.

I cannot think of a reason why it would not.

I'm confused by the idea that Align Weapon is something that it would need to stack with since Align Weapon doesn't do extra damage, and damage in general stacks by default except in rare 'same source' cases. (E.g., Evil Outsider Bane and Chaotic Outsider Bane don't stack because the source in both cases is 'bane'.)

But the damage here is stated as stacking with other similar effects, and Celestial Blood is a similar effect, so I don't see the problem.

Sovereign Court

The rage power is in effect only when you're in a barbarian rage.

The bloodrager power is in effect only when you're in a bloodrage.

They're separate abilities. You have to activate both to get the benefits of both. And they don't stack much; most of their bonuses are Morale. Most of the drawbacks do stack. However, the 1d6 extra damage is untyped and comes from different sources, so that would stack. Just remember that you'll be spending rage rounds from both pools and the post-rage fatigue will stack to exhausted.

Thank you. I was 90% certain that this was a bad idea. Now I know.

Now, a primalist bloodrager can pick up rage powers that work during a bloodrage.

and due to the raging faq you can't be in both at the same time.
