Once you log in, we usually only ask for your credentials again when you enter an area in which personal information can be accessed. (There are a few things that can happen behind the scenes that will cause us to ask you again in other situations, but they're pretty rare.)
If you're seeing regular login prompts while just visiting product pages or reading messageboards, try dumping your paizo.com cookies.

It's the downloads area I have problems with. I have Firefox setup, so that it clears cookies, cache, history, etc. when I close the program. So I don't think that would resolve that.

The downloads area is one of those secure areas. But once you have entered your password once, you'll generally be good for ~10 minutes. (Certain actions that you take within secure areas will increase or decrease that, and there are certain things that can happen server-side that will decrease it as well.)

Firefox for the most part, allows you to save logins so that you don't need to re-enter them all the time. Once you enter in the "master password", it auto-fills in the login information for you, but for this site, it doesn't give you the option to do so. That's why I'd though I'd ask to see if you guys could change the way logging in works. It's a home computer, so I don't need to worry about others within the home, having having complete access to sites, and making orders without my knowledge when I'm away from it. :P

We're not doing anything to prohibit that. You might want to check this page to find out what might be interfering.
