Check my list above, I believe it is correct, but hey. And still waiting on Nguyen An before the man on the ground goes. And for those of you that jumped out, not sure who is on feet vs prone after the 20' drop. I am assuming by some special luck or skill that Kath did not land on Holman for 3d6 :)

GM Aarvid, on round 3 Morvius double moved to the window. Cant he double move climbing down on round 4? That would put him on the floor by the end of. Should I roll a second climb check?

"Hah! You think you have won? You will all be arrested for murder!"

The man stands (provokes from Holman and Kath) and draws his longsword and will swing at Kath.

This is two move actions, so I don't think he gets the attack in. On a more positive note, he does get to draw both his weapons with a single action since I assume he has TWF

Nope, you are right, sorry for the trouble. Thought there was one more round of actions somewhere but it was my mistake.

Morvius will finish his climb down to the floor, if that provokes its fine.

np Morvius, this is getting a bit scattered in posts. Kath is right, I was thinking draw was part of a move action, but is actually part of movement. So he could attack last round, but does have 2 weapons drawn.

Holman takes his AOO (using the roll above) and pricks the man. Kath manages to also slash him as he stands.

Holman moves into flanking position with Kath. Kath misses but Holman still has an attack (with flank+sneak).

The man take the opportunity to swing at Morvius as he climbs down, bit misses swd: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 2 = 11 for dmg: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 = 10

I will hold off on his main attack until the above is resolved and Nguyen An and August act.

An come around the corner and sees the villain before him. He raises his noida hi and strikes at the man.

August pulls his bow and shoots into melee, but missing his mark.

Nguyen An rushes out and cuts the man deeply with his weapon.

Holman, now in the flanking position finishes the job and the man goes down without being able to strike back.

The children emerge from the house and are physically unharmed,
but terrified—particularly of Morvius.

Within a minute the Sheriff arrives with 4 of her constables.

"We came as soon as we were summoned by the neighbors. What has happened here?"

The children point at Morvius and begin to cry. The sheriff has the neighbors act as caregivers to the children to calm them in another room as she continues her questions.

One of the constables emerges from the Manor.

"Um Sheriff, the parents are dead. The children claim this man is the murderer." pointing to Morvius.

The Sheriff raises her eyebrow. She looks at the body of the man the party fought outside.

"The is Borvius Moncello, owner of Ilsurian Storage & Hauling on the docks. Not sure why he was here. By the looks of it, it seems you fought with him as well? I need an explanation...now."

In a rush hoping to difuse the situation before more blades are drawn -

During the course of the investigation of the murders - You know, the ones we are helping you with - we discovered a note that led us here. This man used magic to disuise himself as one of us... as Morvius here. When we arrived he attacked us with a gang of thugs without provocation. This man here is involved with the murders that have been going on here and killed everyone but the children.

She has her men back down, and they release their grip on their blades.

"Interesting. Not sure I see a motive here for him involving the circus, but
Borvius was no model citizen and I recognize some of these others as his employees.
So I will give some leeway. I will need hard proof to convince others."
she stops and thinks for a minute.

"The rest of my constables are still
dealing with outbreaks of unrest with the circus.
I am afraid if I pull away
the ones who are guarding the
quarantined circus, the situation there
could turn violent or deadly. Nothing anyone wants."

She looks at each of you considering her words carefully.

"Only option we have is to prove why Borvius would be involved. This does not seem right.
I have suspected he was involved in shady business since they arrived."

Looking at her men and back to you...

"I have to warn you, you could be walking into a mess of trouble, but looks
like you were able to handle yourself ok. If you check out
the warehouse, that may exonerate the circus and end this
issue without putting the whole town at risk."

She smiles slightly at the idea.

"You do that and I promise to discreetly release Almara
Delisen from custody once you check the place, since
doing so earlier might spoil the element of surprise. What say you?"

Of course Morvius didn't do it! He was with us! I swear on the gods themselves! August can't believe any of his friends could be accused of such a thing as murder. Them kids are wrong! They've been fooled or somethin'! Right An? I know I'm right! Aren't I, An?

Once things settle down August then says, The warehouse? We can do that for ya just fine! An and I will make sure of it, and my friends here too. They're smart an' stuff. We'll set it right!

I guess we can move on assuming that people heal themselves up when they post. To the warehouse!

Holman is down 7 HP, with 6 nonlethal. If someone could throw a CLW his way, that would be great.

Holman nods at the sheriff. "We'll get this all cleared up for you, don't worry; and, we appreciate your discretion - if we can get the jump on the guys in the warehouse, I think it'll go better for everyone."

"Very good. May justice be on your side." the Sheriff wishes you success as she finishes up the investigation before too many questions are asked at the manor.

You heal up your wounds as you travel to the waterfront and docks.

You can make any purchases or other actions in town, just let me know.

As you approach the address the sheriff provided, you see a number of older buildings, but not totally abandoned. There are shops and other buildings common for storage and shipping.

You see a faded sign for Ilsurian Storage & Hauling on the building ahead.
It is a nondescript warehouse like many others in the area. A pair of large cargo doors as well as smaller doors that look like they lead to an office area.

Map has been updated with the new location.

If they're locked, he'll take a few seconds to try to unlock them.

Noticing that the situation is about to explode Morvius rushes in himself and slaps the man silly.

Morvius rushes in and cuts the clerk in the corner. The door to the north of the room opens briefly and Morvius sees another man, before the door closes just as quickly.

The clerk shouts out "Byrten! We have intruders, get help quickly!"

He draws a blade and slashes at Morvius, but misses badly.

I need to see what the others do. I do not think August will have room to move in on the man in the corner and with the door closed I can't move into there either.

Bo'alo steps through the door and shoots the clerk through the eye, splattering blood on the far wall. The man drops dead to the floor.

The rest of the party enters the room....

A desk and chair sit against the east wall, with additional chairs situated nearby. Wall lamps light the room. To the north of the desk is a single door leading deeper into the warehouse.

There is only 1 other door in this room I believe apart from the one we came in. Though August might not realize that :)
