Ok so iv never done this play by post thing and i have no idea where to start. Do i make a character first or look for a game first and make a character to fit in to whats need for the group? Whats the normally excepted way to make characters hear point system if so how many points? Or do you roll your character? Sorry these are probably stupid questions but I'm just really lost.
Generally it's easiest to look for a game you're interested in, then create a character that fits that game's requirements. I know I'm much more likely to choose a character that's tied in to my campaign, rather than a generic character made to copy and paste anywhere. (That doesn't mean you can't come in with a nascent idea; just make at least some effort to tie them in to the campaign.) How to build a character depends on the game - every GM will do it a little differently, which is why it tends to be best to find a game first.
