My current party has lost 2 players and they need replacing. I'll take up to 2 people, but definately one person. The current party is a Warlock, a cleric and a mystic. They lost a Sorceror and a Paladin.
Here is the current gameplay thread
You would begin play at level 5.
Personally I'd rather any new player roll up a native of Barovia so we don't have to figure out some reason why they showed up. There are several NPC's that can be played as PC's or you can roll a Barovian/Vistani/Dusk Elf PC that isn't listed in the Curse of Strahd book.
Let me know if you are interested and we can hash out all that stuff.

Howdy Niles! I don't have many oppoetunities to play 5e around where I live and so I try whenever a game pops up in the Forums.
That said, and even if I know the system, I am not familiar with the Adventure and as such would need to either ask you about the NPCs or do some research regarding them.
Finally, I favor martials but judging by your three remaining PCs and Daniel's mention of submitting a paladin I guess some more muscle wouldn't hurt.
Anyway, I'll return soon with at least some concept and to check your answer.
P.s.- 5e is pretty streamlined but I guess it won't hurt if I am to go with the basic array for stats or any point buy, as well as starting wealth and such.

I would like to withdraw my interest. I still want to play in this adventure, but I feel that playing as a Barovian native from mid-level would require the level of understanding of the system and the setting above what I have now. Good luck to the group!
Some systems are easy to jump into; I'm honestly not sure how 5e fares on that scale. For the most part, though, Barovia is Transylvania. Easy go go from there!

Oops...when I did my stats I did the point buy...I will roll and adjust accordingly.
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 4) = 17 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 3) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 4) = 11 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 4) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 5) = 15 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 5) = 16 = 15
Well that is pretty close to what I had anyway...lol. Will update character alias.

Are you still looking for a 2nd? I've been mulling over a couple of ideas for a little while now. Elven Eldritch Knight or Arcane Trickster.
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 5, 2) = 16 14
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 4, 2) = 15 13
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 3) = 19 16
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 4) = 11 09
Stat: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 4) = 13 12
