I'm guessing the latter, since a lot of those were changes that I've heard in quite a few places online.

That was hilarious, and also very painful, because yeah, the changes were so obvious.

and Rian Johnson would have won over so many of his detractors if when weaponizing hyperspace he used Ackbar using instead of some no history new officer. Even though telling Hux "Its a trap!!!!" would have been silly on a monumental scale, for this film it would have worked.

Black D,

Yeah it would have been the most meta thing but at the same time, the best way to send off Ackbar.

I dont get why the medical frigate had to be piloted. Just abandon and let it fall into range. Then I remember its RJ and that logical sequence wouldnt be dramatic enough.

Just rewatched the movie and noticed for the first time that the stable boy uses the Force to pick up the broom in the last scene.

I watched it. I want my two-and-a-half hours back. I'll keep the 5+ hours of raucous laughter that attended it.

I'll not go into detail about what I disliked about this film (mostly because I've gleaned that it's been hashed through already) at this point. Besides, the conversation's pretty much over, right?

But . . . just . . . . Wow.

TFA shattered my hopes for the new era of Star Wars. TLJ cemented my disdain irrevocably.

All hail Grand Admiral Thrawn!!

Yeah - he's been dubbed "Broom Boy" and "Broom Kid" since shortly after the movie came out, mainly by folks who dislike the movie :)

this movie is not so bad compared to The Force Awakens and the prequels, even The Return of the Jedi

Liberty's Edge

I thought parts of Last Jedi were pretty OK, but there were many other parts that I had huge, fundamental problem with.

I like The Force Awakens MUCH better and I'm hopefully optimistic that JJ will make this next one (Episode 9) a fantastic finale to the new trilogy

I was profoundly disappointed in it. My best friend, however, has sworn he will never watch another Star Wars franchise related show or movie again. Which really bothers me because we used to talk about our favorite movies all the time. And I'm not exaggerating here; if I mention the Solo movie he starts in on the same damned rant about "Last Jedi". I've actually hung up on him when he does this.

Red Letter Media Review Dropped.

I didn't get a chance to check out Solo, but most people I know said it was meh. Which sums up my feelings on the character in general.

I enjoyed Solo. It was a fun space opera-y heist flick. It's got the requisite cool action scenes, plot twists and doublecrosses. Go in expecting that and I think it's worth it.

Expect the Definitive Han Solo Story or something and you'll be disappointed.
