Great New Update About the Revised Midgard Campaign Setting
New chapters, new maps, new heraldry, new art, advancing the timeline by a decade; there’s a lot going on in the revised Midgard Campaign book! While there’s too much new material to cover it all (it’s a whole book’s worth, after all), the link above give plenty of details!

So I have a question... if I pledge at the $80 combo level, are there pdfs and other stretch goals that I won't get because they aren't listed in the pledge?
Sort of, because of the dual system nature of the Kickstarter. What I mean is, when you pledge for 5E, you won't get any of the Pathfinder stretch goal material. Also, the backer goals are unlocks rather than adds (DM Screen, Warlock 'zine), so you might choose not to get those, either.
Overall, though, all those non-Basic tiers get the benefit of the stretch goals: bigger setting book, bigger Heroes Handbook, etc.
We've got a pledge chart coming today that spells it out in much, much more detail.
The Midgard timeline will advance about 10 years for this Kickstarter setting update. What do you think will change?

Should I consider not buying any more of the individual 5e Deep Magic products, or will they not be automatically included in the player's guide?
Thank you for that feedback on adventures! We're continuing the Midgard tradition of making it as playable as we possibly can.
For the individual 5E Deep Magic products... Ok, at the risk of being off-topic here, I'll just say that they aren't all funded for inclusion in the Midgard Handbook yet, so you might want to pick some of them up just to have them sooner. I'll post more details on that Handbook this weekend. Also, the villain ones are going into the Setting book rather than the Heroes Handbook.
For Pathfinder, of course, Deep Magic is already available. IIRC, we're adding Ley Line magic, Shadow Magic, and Clockwork magic in the PFRPG Player's Guide.
We're now over $86k! Those amazing $100k stretch goals are in sight!

Excellent new update (including a very cool new illustration for Chernobog, the God of Night and Murder):
5th Edition Midgard Heroes Handbook: Divine Domains
We're almost to the $95,000 stretch goal, which unlocks yet another Eldritch Lair!
Then it's onward to the amazing $100,000 stretch goals (yep, $100,000 unlocks multiple stretch goals) AND we're close to hitting that 1,000 backer goal which unlocks the killer Midgard GM screen!
And, that's all in the first week. With 28 days still to go, there's no telling how big this bad boy can go!

As Raddu said, the Midgard Campaign Setting: Dark Roads & Deep Magic kickstarter reached a pretty big milestone over night: it surpassed the $100,000 mark (it's currently at just over $102,000) which unlocked a slew of new rewards and stretch goals! That's pretty darn awesome!
A bunch of new, post $100,000 stretch goal rewards have also just been added.
The kickstarter is also close to reaching 1,000 backers, at which point an awesome Midgard campaign setting DM screen becomes available

The Midgard Campaign Setting Kickstarter passed another awesome milestone ... we've topped 1,000 backers!!
That means the 5E DM and Pathfinder GM screens are happening!
Details are still being worked out, but it's going to be a high-quality, 4-panel, horizontal screen and it's gonna be fantastic :)

With the help of 1,080 backers as of this writing, we've passed $120,000! High Elvish Magic and the Elfmarked options are going in both the 5E Heroes Handbook AND the Pathfinder Player's Guide!
Even better - we're getting closer to the $125,000 mark, which adds Maze Magic (think mazes and minotaur magic) to the 5E Heroes Handbook AND the Pathfinder Player's Guide!
AND ... there are still more than 2 weeks to go!

Nice! Backed the 5e version of the hardcovers, and still pondering some add-ons. Happy that Elvish magic was added!
When we titled this project "Dark Roads & Deep Magic", we definitely wanted to give equal weight to both setting and sourcebook.
Midgard has always been a dark setting, fairly twisted in its biggest empires of evil, and one of the ways that works out best at the table is if the DM has some toys that the players don't know much about. In the early days of Zobeck and Midgard, those toys included necrophagy cast by the ghoul warlocks and later it grew to include Red Portal magic in the Southlands.

Take a look at the martial side of the Heroes Handbook. Chapter 4 of the Midgard Heroes Handbook offers eight new martial paths!
There are a lot of petty lordlings in Midgard, as well as dukes and emperors. Every single one of them wants their nation to show allegiance in clear, pictorial form. Heraldry is one of those things that makes Midgard entertaining during play: describing a shield to players can get a reaction from the person who recognizes it, or call for die rolls if someone wants to try to puzzle out information from it. It's also just a sign of who is rich and powerful, of course. Check out the latest update for three samples of the heraldry that will be part of the Midgard kingdom writeups, art by Addison Rankin; he'll be doing the honors for the book, and I must say I like the look of it!

Boom, we got the short fiction added, AND we have a new goal at $155, namely Elemental Magic by Dan Dillon for the Heroes Handbook.
I am extremely pleased that we're seeing Bearfolk, and likely Elementalist magic as well. I could easily see a Bearfolk Elementalist with full command of ice and wind!
