Exactly what it says in the title. I've been away from pathfinder for quite a while and my creativity has gotten a little rusty. I want to practice my RPG writing and challenge myself a little as well while I build a portfolio of sorts while I'm at it.

Here's how it works: Request encounters or short adventures and I will write them for you. Give me whatever details you want and I'll try to work something up. Expect me to take one request for an adventure every 1-2 weeks, not necessarily first come first served. If you want just an encounter or two I'm more likely to be able to whip one up for you and I'll try my best to make something for each encounter request. I'm happy to make maps or use yours if you want.

Ohh, I have a request.

A one-shot for well-balance party of four level 3, 4, or 5 characters using Core material only.

Do you have a little more for me to work with? Any themes or encounters I should include?

Here's one, an evil summoner's tower I already have the summoner, with a focus on undead and gray dwarves for a third level party of 8

I'm working on a Weird West/Fantasy Western 4-man, 2nd-level, one-shot adventure using the Pathfinder system (takes place in a temperate rocky desert, guns everywhere, etc.), where the party is a group of bounty hunters looking to bring in the notorious Sundown gang, dead or alive. I have most of the encounters written for this adventure, but I'm having trouble with the final battle, when the party finds the gang's hideout. If you'd like to whip up an encounter for this final battle, I would appreciate it if you made a map as well. Thank you for your time.

Verdant Wheel

Request

Spoiler:

The PCs are recruited for a mission to assist the Bellflower Network with a rescue. Their contact has a ship, and the PCs are to sail to the estate of a noble who lives on the coast just outside of a large city, break into the well-guarded estate, evacuate the halflings that live there, and escape.

Dangers include navigation through suddenly bad weather, sea monsters, the noble's mini-army of land and boat bound soldiers, and the noble family themselves who have some sort of supernatural secret.

Designed for a full party of characters 4th or 5th level.

Some good ideas here. I'll get to work on some of these things. I'll do the encounter first because its quicker and then work on the slave escape adventure, probably in a few installments.

To do List:
Western Encounter for CCCXLII
Bellflower Escape for rainzax (part 1)

Grand Lodge

Going to Dot this for use later.

Great idea, thank you.

I have no request ATM, but dotting for future use.

I need an encounter done to replicate the 'Butcher' demon encounter from the Dialo III computer game.

Loot is not necessary. Ideally it should be the demon 'Butcher' with his axe and chain hook and the grated, flaming room as the opponent and encounter area. CR will be 7-8.

The party is composed of:
Hunter with Wolf Companion
Cleric
Brawler
Inquisitor
Wood Elemental School Wizard who took fire as opposition
Bow based Rogue

All are human with high stats. All should be level 3 by the time of the encounter and it is supposed to be a boss type encounter.

Thank you in advance for any consideration you can give.

I'm working on the adventure for rainzax in several parts. The first will be 3-4 encounters representing the boat trip to the estate, using mostly paizo map pack maps.

Encounters:
Butcher Demon for Gilfalas
This week's adventure:
Bellflower Escape for rainzax

Dark Archive

A number of local ranger types were slaughtered by bandits and malicious fey. The cadre of miscreants chopped the corpses into pieces for fun and blood thirsty petty vengeance. The rangers didn't care for their treatment and begin to reanimate into hateful undead creatures, despite their disembodied forms.
My request: An encounter with as many undead creatures as you can make out of one corpse. Preferably with CRs that don't vary TOO wildly and aren't too high. The party will be ~2nd or 3rd level.

One corpse may not provide enough separate entities for a challenging encounter for a full party, but that's fine. I'll just add more bits as necessary to make the CR work for me. The challenge is most corporeal undead from one body.

This is awesome! Thank you very much

Whipped up Ectar's undead encounter since I could use mostly off the shelf monsters and it was surprisingly fun to see how many parts it is possible to have a monster of. I got a total of 7 monsters out of the corpse and stopped for fear of driving the CR too high. No map, but you can easily choose something from a map-pack to use.

The Dismemebred

To Do
Encounters:
Butcher Demon for Gilfalas - a little fluff and development text left.
This week's adventure:
Bellflower Escape for rainzax - I've got most of the encounters outlined.

Grand Lodge

A dungeon crawl through a goblin lair for a group of fourth level PCs, preferably with at least a couple traps, a puzzle, and a boss (of course).
Traps would not have to be their own encounter.

Dark Archive

Very cool, thank you.

14th level, Mythic Tier 5, city based adventure. 4 to 5 players depending on who can make it. Any ideas?

Unfortunately I am not familiar with the mythic rules.

No worries. Not every game I run is Mythic. But a 14th level encounter or short adventure would still be welcome! If there's any Mythic elements I want to add I could do them myself.

Thanks for your hard work for everyone you're doing these for!

It got delayed a bit, but here is the boss fight for Gilfalas. I'm going to focus on the first section of the adventure now, so hopefully I'll have something for that before too long.

Can you make a sewer encounter.

Want to do a Rats in the cellar/sewers adventure for 1st level adventure:
Like it's the first session of a new D&D game. The brave heroes are sitting around a tavern, looking for a quest. The innkeeper approaches, offering fifty gold pieces to deal with an infestation of giant rats in her basement.

The fact that they paid so much should be a clue it is a big issue than he is saying.
If pressed, he mentions a local rat catcher was looking into the problem, he said that he would set up a rat trap or something...
"that was months ago. Not sure where he got to actually...never came back..."

Please and thank you.

Maybe I'd like to see some sort of adventure where the PCs are lead astray by a a will-o-wisp or the like and come to an old witch's house or something. Lots of Norse mythology stuff added in (in the first part(think about that movie that Disney put out, BRAVE.)). Maybe the witch poisons them and they hallucinate, sent off to have bizarre dreams and battle strange, extraterrestrial creatures? The only way to get back is to find the Mind Gem, floating in the Purple Palaces at the Edge of Nowhere and Nothing, with purple stuff that causes horrific creatures to form from itself (guarding the place), along with some sort of mind-controlling boss at the end? (Think lots of mind-freaky stuff in part two, then maybe the PCs save a bunch of folks that went missing because of the witch, come back, kill her, then are heroes?)

Adventure levels 7-10.

Sorry if my thoughts seem "runny".

Dotting this whole thread. Totally awesome idea

I banged out a sewer encounter from Starbuck_II's request because I had a fantastic idea. Probably not what you expected, but I think it will be pretty fun. No map, but stick around because I'll probably make one in the near future.

Illegal Dumping

I won't be taking any more adventure requests until I finish these two, but feel free to keep requesting encounters and I'll hopefully be able to get to most of them

To Do
Encounters:
Adventures:
Bellflower Escape for rainzax - Still plugging along
Rats in the Cellar for Starbuck_II - Low level so it shouldn't take too long

A one shot battle against the team of Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, and Cyclops for a tenth level party. Feel free to go crazy.

How fast do you think you can get to encounters? And what counts as an encounter?

Here's what I need...

You know if you should stay out:
My players are attacking a Frost Drake this coming week, and finding the teleport gate that it guards into the "Frost Maw." That all should occupy the game session, and I'm fine with it.

The following week, though... The Frost Maw is actually the demi-plane of Winter and the home of the Snow Queen. Naturally, she has a gorgeous and vast Ice Palace, and is terribly powerful. Luckily, far too powerful for an APL-5 party to take on. Lots of design work, there!

The party is actually after a "Radix" taken by her "handmaid," a Winter Hag, and her Changeling daughter. Getting the McGuffin back is their main objective. Getting the changeling back (preferably alive) for her foster tribe and the hag's head (definitely dead) for some very mad kobolds are secondary objectives, so stealth- or negotiation-based solutions are not possible.

The winter hag & her daughter live in a small gatehouse in front of the ice palace. What I really need is a map, with a key as to which nasties are where. Unfortunately, we're playing in part over the phone, so some of your graphic wonders will get lost in the translation. In short, we aren't using a battlemap for tactical positioning. A simpler map will suffice, but I need the whole gatehouse, with an approach from a teleport gate. Traps & locks, too.

The Radix is an artifact of Summer taken to taint it so as to further unbalance the seasons in the PCs' land. It's a complete McGuffin that cannot contribute to the fight (except as an improvised club), but it should be stored appropriately for "tainting."

Can you do it? In two or maybe (if I stall) three weeks? If you can, I'll give you more details on wintry adversaries I've picked out. (Hint: no normal Pathfinder PC races.)

This would be incredible kindness.

No more encounters or adventures yet, but I wanted to post something each day, so here is a little crunch tidbit from the rats in the cellar adventure I'm working on.

Alternate Racial Trait wrote:
Chronomagic: Gnomes with this trait add +1 to the DC of any saving throws against transmutation spells they cast. Gnomes with Charisma scores of 11 or higher also gain the following spell-like abilities: 1/day—daze, blurred movement, unprepared combatant. The DC for these spells is equal to 10 + the spell’s level + the gnome’s Charisma modifier. This trait replaces gnome magic.

An encounter with an advanced dire bunyip and its evil druidic master.

Liberty's Edge

Well, are you familiar with the Curse of the Crimson Throne AP?
I need a level 1 encounter/mini adventure which is to be played before the AP starts in order to get the pcs together, so that they already know each other a bit before they actually start the AP...

A dungeon crawl through a den of rat folk highwaymen.

Perhaps an encounter in the Thornkeep(the Hellknight controlled city from The Emerald Spire) where an evil fey or demon is making nightmares come true and run rampant?

I have to say, I just glanced at Illegal Dumping and it looked very good.

Does not making the To Do list mean that my hope for a map amounted to too much work to be added? Or something else?

I've only skimmed it, but it reads nice.

It just means that I'm not doing the requests on a first come first served basis. I do the ones I have a good idea for first, then I may come back to the ones that will take more time.

A Rat in the Celler looks good. Gonna have to use that as a side adventure.

Ah. Ok. Enjoy what you're doing!

PS: Does anyone else know of a map I could grab of a "gatehouse"? Well, ok, small house. Preferably with 5-foot corridors rather than 10. Something medium-size people might actually live in.

That is excellent.

Yay! I made the To Do list. What you are doing is wonderful.

Here’s the personnel specs…

You still know if you should stay out:
>> The winter hag should be straight out of the box, to keep encounters reasonable. (She's CR-7 already.) But I'd love an idea for NPC equipment.

>> The changeling daughter is of a custom advanced race (cat-kin changeling), so I'll have to write her up. I’m thinking she’s a 6th-level White Draconic sorcerer, which would make her CR 6 as an NPC member of an advanced race. I'd love an idea for NPC equipment for her, too.

>> The hag has a worg or winter wolf (CR 5) as a beloved pet. (If the final encounter is of the two of them together, that's APL+3. If the winter wolf is with the daughter, that’s APL +2.)

>> The hag could well have ice trolls (CR 4) as guards and dire wolves (CR 3) as other pets. And I'd love it if the hag and/or changeling had a way to summon ice elementals (CRs 1 & 3) or ice mephits (CR 3). Perhaps wolverines (CR 2) or wolves (CR 1) also live here, inside or outside.

>> The Snow Queen has yeti (CR 4) as slaves, some of whom would be serving in the gatehouse, but would likely hang back in a fight unless attacked.

>> Ordinary Pathfinder races get too cold to serve here. The PC races have an SQ that they don't have to make Con checks for a cold environment.

Btw, cold damage does +1 pt per die, and fire damage does half-damage here in the plane of Winter. The PCs’ SQ does not give them actual cold resistance.

The party consists of:
>> a 5th-level slayer with good traps & locks skills, but still learning combat.
>> a 5th-level barbarian, exceptionally nasty in melee.
>> a 5th-level lore oracle.
>> a 5th-level hedge witch with the healing patron & Cauldron Hex (cowardly GMPC).

Good to have some free adventures/encounters out there. ;)

Well it looks like I won't have nearly enough time as I thought to work on requests this week, but to tide you over, here is an old one-shot that I wrote a while ago.

Tomb of the Pharaos
Link includes adventure and reasonably high-res maps.

@bitter lily - That looks like more encounters than will fit on one reasonably sized battle-map. My sketch of the map right now includes the small hut and a watchtower. In the end it will probably be about half the size of a flip-mat.

D'you think you'll eventually be able to do my one-shot? Or will that have to wait for some time?

OK, if that's what you can do. Do remember, though, that "sketch" is fine, in that I won't be able to communicate fine details over antiquated technology (the phone). If that lets you go bigger, great!

{I can always put in a yard between the portal and the watchtower/hut w/ some of the encounters like the dire wolves.}

Absolutely no pressure.

But I am definitely looking forward to seeing the finished product!

And if you would like some vectored feedback after I run it (with some flavor doctoring, likely), I can provide you that.

Well right now I have an outline that the First Part will include the ship journey to the private island estate you are raiding. It's going to be 5 encounters representing either 3 or 4 days of sailing. Right now the encounters are:

Gillman Sea-bandits
A storm dashing you against rocks populated by undead
Mayhem involving the actual cargo of the smugglers you are sailing with
The Chelish Coast Guard
And I need to come up with one more.
