Is there a way to get Fly as a Class Skill for Vigilantes?

Advice

I'm going to start playing in a Strange Aeons AP this month, and I'm going in on a Falconine Wildsoul Vigilante. Thing is, Vigilante doesn't have Fly as one of it's Class Skills. So I'm wondering if there is a trait or something that will allow me to get Fly as a Class Skill. Anybody have any suggestions?

Well depending on your race you might get it from that, as any character with a fly speed treats fly as a class skill. Which off the top of my head is Strix, Wyvaran, and Syrinx.

In addition a large number of races can pick up the fey thoughts alternate racial trait, which lets you add two skills from the list as class skills, among which is fly.

In addition it looks like Falconine picks up a fly speed at level 12, which would grant you fly as a class skill.

I'm sure there's other things that would help you out but this is just off the top of my head, hope it helped! Good luck!

I like that Falconine Wildsoul just gives me the Fly Class Skill as soon as I get my wings. It's good to know.

Also, Skill Focus basically turns a skill into a class skill (+3 class skill = +3 Skill Focus)

One other possibility is to use a Vigilante Talent to take the Rogue Talent Getaway Artist from Ultimate Combat.

But Skill Focus doesn't stack with Skill Focus. Class Skill and Skill Focus does.

You could house rule it like I do. I allow classes to take their normal NUMBER of classes but they can choose what classes they want. I also let them sacrifice language slots for extra class skills.

Is there some reason to expect there to be a lot of really hard fly checks so you'd need both skill focus and the class skill points? Fly checks aren't especially difficult unless you have some reason to expect there to be a lot of wind when you're fighting.

With neither, a level 12 (when they get a fly speed) falconine wildsoul vigilante with 16 dex with max ranks in fly would have a +19 modifier to fly, which is enough to pass every fly check in normal wind conditions.

Which is called: Hermean Blood if you're looking for it in Hero Lab.

Wisdom in the Flesh trait: Pick a Str/Con/Dex-based skill, may use Wis mod instead and it's class skill for you.

Drink a potion of fly and, technically, for the duration it's a class skill. If you can benefit from fly more regularly, such as a party wizard or the like, you can put ranks in it.
