Ticket is purchased and passport is renewed. I should be there.

I'm excited to say I'll be there and running two seminars! Been way too long since I've attended Paizocon!

I'll be back!
I was unable to confirm before submission deadline, so no Bestiary Bash (unless open gaming room will fit us), but I will be there. :)

Pretty much exactly what Curaigh said, except substitute "Bestiary Bash" with "this Pathfinder game idea I had".

I might look to run a pickup Paranoia game or something, but regardless, I'll be there! I hope to see some of you guys. Last Paizocon was kinda lonely. :(

Correction!

Get your critters ready!
Thank you Katina (& Sara & Eric & everyone else :)

We'll see. I haven't had a lick of time to go over my Paizocon schedule lately.

KC, make sure you introduce yourself this year!

My problem is I'm nearsighted, and I hate to have to walk around squinting at people's chests to read their names. I miss having glasses. :(

Wear a stuffed lizard beanie babie (or some other light little lizard) on your baseball cap, and we'll all find you. We want to meet you!

Been workin' out with weights. Stare at my chest all you want! ;-)

I'll try to get a lizard!

I do have an old toy gila monster, but it's, like, a foot and a half long and made of rubber.

Or you could carry a big cleaver.

except...:
Weapons are prohibited. It is the hotel's policy that no weapons whatsoever be allowed on the premises, and Paizo supports that policy. Additionally, items that appear to be weapons are also not allowed. This includes costume weapons and self-defense items such as pepper spray, Tasers, and knives, but also extends to BB guns, cap guns, water guns, paintball guns, Airsoft weapons, and so on. We do not allow any of these items at the show even if it is legal to carry them.

Or get a pair of these to wear.

I mean, I do already have a goofy knitted green bowler thing. I could wear that. But I feel like if I'm gonna embarrass myself, it might as well be with a stuffed lizard somewhere on my person.

That's the spirit! Looking forward to finally meeting you in person, KC.

Can we entice you to play any PFS this year?

Hmm

Grand Lodge

Wait....

You mean you don't look like that in real life?!

Thrift stores like Saint Vincent DePaul or Goodwill are wonderful places to find super cheap beanie baby lizards and such.

Trust me, I'm poor with two kids, I know what I'm talking about. :-)

That's what I was thinking of.... Thrift store lizard!

Otherwise I can see if I have one that my two teens are willing to let go of... My son is usually willing to give up stuffed animals if he knows someone else will love it. (In other words, it has to go to a specific person, not the thrift store.)

Then we can arrange a time an meeting for lizard exchange. Let me see what my son has in his (pretty much neglected) toy chest still and see if he can make a donation!

Give the toys a few seconds to assume their inert position before you open the chest.

Is your son's name Andy?

Mmmmmaybe? If I can get in a game with at least one forum Paizonian I know, I'll totally make a character.

I've got so many seminars, is the thing. I know I need to quit some of them so I'll have time for socializing and pickup games, but they all look so good.

Also, putting "Queering Your World" in the same timeslot as "Storytime with Lisa"—a seminar I've already had to forego for, like, five years in a row, now—is downright criminal.

Grand Lodge

The story time with Lisa is the event, game or otherwise, I'm looking forward to most.

I'll go next year, I promise! ...I say every year. :(

It was one of my most memorable last year.

I'd go again, but I'm hearing from Lisa in a couple of other seminars this year, so I made the difficult decision to go somewhere else (too many cool speakers!)

Currently sitting at the doubletree bar (Seaports?) trying to stay awake. No way I'm going to be jet lagged again this year!

Welcome to Seattle Steve! Arrival #1!

We should meet for lunch in downtown Monday or Tuesday!

Sounds good to me. I'm stumbling around Seattle today making sure I stay awake.

Any suggestions as to good RPG stores which are open on a Sunday?

Nice Steve. Guess you will hav to hold down the tables for everyone ;)

It's across the lake in Bellevue, but Mox Boarding House is a cool store that sells all sorts of games and has a full kitchen serving food and drinks. Today they're holding a charity tournament called The Gauntlet where teams are playing games and raising money (including a team of Paizo staff).

Thanks, Adam. Mox Boarding House is on my itinerary today for that very reason! :)

I've also found a comic shop that seems to sell RPGs too called The Dreaming?

Any other suggestions would be great though.

The Dreaming is great - that's my local PFS store! More of a comic shop though as a whole - Aaron the owner is a true master of the art - also great stories. Also the whole University Way south of it has a fair going on yesterday and today - so go go go! Lots of odd shops and such. Dave Gross loves the movie theatre there.

Mox probably has the most actual gaming stuff. Phoenix down in Capital Hill is a nice shop, fun neighborhood (including nearby Twice Sold Tales - a used bookstore with live cats roaming).

Cool! Thanks for the tips.

Secondhand bookshops and cats are two of my favorite things. :)

I emailed you, Majuba.

That Mox place is huge! Got a couple of books, said hi to a couple of paizonians and cornered Erik Mona for half an hour as I peppered him with questions. Good day. :)

Used bookstore with cats..... I'm jealous. I don't know of a used bookstore at all anywhere near where I live now. I sometimes resort to abebooks.com

Ok, now I am a bit jealous. Maybe I should have made the trip there.

The Paizo staff are so generous with their time. Paizocon is well worth the trip for that reason alone, in my view (the other Paizo fans is another).

I was torn between giving the poor guy some time on his day off and ruthlessly milking the opportunity which presented itself. (Well not that torn. He could always walk away..)

Kobold, how about this one, Iggy the Iguana? I found him in my collection of "stuffed animals that I might use someday in storytime", but poor Iggy has not had the opportunity to actually be in one of my library storytimes yet. He told me that he's been dreadfully bored sleeping in his box, and that a trip to Seattle sounded fun.

As for playing a game, there are still spots left in my From the Tome of Righteous Repose game that I am GMing Friday morning. You could either join us, or collect Iggy from me when you come by to say hello. If you do join us, you could come in with a pregen if you like. You don't even have to make a PFS character, just get the PFS number from HQ.

Anyway, I'm packing Iggy and some safety pins unless you tell me you already found your own stuffed lizard.

Hope to see you there!

Coming to the friday morning game has the added benefit of stroopwafels :)

Also, Therry and I have arrived safely and checked into the hotel. Its ver weird that it is now 16:15 over here while at home its 01:15.

For the first time ever, I will be attending PaizoCon. This will also be the first con I have been able to attend in many years. I will not be staying in the DoubleTree as the block ran out before I could make the reservation, but I will be there every day.

Also, I think this will actually be the first convention I will have gone to since before Jade Oath came out, too. It is so hard to believe it has been that long.

Welcome to America, Woran!

(Also, welcome to PaizoCon Ashanderai!

I am currently in San Fransisco, which is a 3-day stop on the way to Seattle. (Previous 3 days were in Alameda and Richmond, so 6 days in the SF Bay Area.)

Probably ought to read Solstice Scar more carefully now, and reread all the others.

All the maps and printed scenarios and pawns I'm carrying with me amount to a surprising amount of weight. I brought 0 books. Uf-da.

Dataphiles

Rob if you have time there is a great SF restaurant that I recommend to everybody traveling that way. Its called Burma Superstar, and it has the added benefit of only being a block or two from Green Apple books which is possibly my favorite bookstore ever!
