PFS Monster Bucket List

GM Discussion

Grand Lodge 4/5

Got this list from two of our regular lodge players, and I could use some help figuring out what scenarios have these in them.

Monster Bucket List:
Giant Centipede
Giant Scorpion
Djinn (preferably Efreeti)
Hollywood style vampire (more "Lost Boys" and "30 Days of Night" than "Twilight")
Werebeast (werewolf, rat, bear, snake, bat, etc.)
Griffons
Treefolk
Giant Squid or Kraken
Merfolk
Giants Ants
Lich
Gargoyle
Minotaur
Mimic
Owlbear
Troll
Dinosaurs (any, but preferably a T-Rex)
Jekyll/Hyde (dual personality NPC)
Gremlins
Beholder (D&D specific, but even a giant eye with tentacles and maybe shoot some ray spells would suffice)
Doppelganger

In order, this is what I've come up with so far:

Possible Scenarios:
Thornkeep 1: Accursed Halls
The Wounded Wisp (specifically choose scorpions from chart)
Valley of the Veiled Flame
Echoes of the Everwar Part 3
The Midnight Mauler
???
The Sealed Gate
Of Kirin and Kraken
???
Before the Dawn Part 1
Emerald Spire 14: The Throne of Azlant
Echoes of the Everwar Part 2
The Confirmation
Thralls of the Shattered God
We Be Goblins Too!
The Frostfur Captives
Where Mammoth's Dare Not Tread
???
The Veteran's Vault
???
???

If there are others, or if you can fill in the missing monster scenarios needed, that'd be greatly appreciated.

You won't find a beholder in any scenario, since they're WotC property. Drawing a blank on the other monsters you have no scenarios listed for, but one did come to mind:

Spoiler:
There's a griffon in Portent's Peril.

Scarab Sages 5/5 5/55/55/5

Monsters I have known and Cuddled:

Giant Centipede:Elven entanglement (7-11)
Giant Scorpion
Djinn (preferably Efreeti) Cosmic captive

Hollywood style vampire (more "Lost Boys" and "30 Days of Night" than "Twilight") The lissala arc , cultists kiss.

Werebeast (werewolf, rat, bear, snake, bat, etc.): The midnight mauler. Horn of aroden.

Griffons

Treefolk: The sealed gate

Giant Squid or Kraken: Of kirin and kracken (should have been obvious)

Merfolk

Giants Ants: The beggar's pearl

Lich: Fate of the Fiend

Gargoyle: Jester's fraud? One on that series.

Minotaur: The confirmation

Mimic:

Owlbear: Part III quest for perfection.

Troll: can't remember one that you fight

Dinosaurs (any, but preferably a T-Rex): where mammoths dare not tread.

Jekyll/Hyde (dual personality NPC)

Gremlins

Beholder (D&D specific, but even a giant eye with tentacles and maybe shoot some ray spells would suffice)

Doppelganger: everywhere. They're everywhere. Every other mission briefing is delivered by a GERK

Oh, I made sure to bring that up, along with mind flayer and displacer beast. He just wants a giant eyeball to fight, and I remember an aberration in the bestiaries that matches the description. Might be in Strange Aeons.

Grand Lodge 4/5

He just let me know the list will ever expand, and that's fine, but these will do for now.

The Exchange 3/5

There is a mimic in Risen from the Sands.

Shadow Lodge 4/5

I know of two trolls in Beggar's Pearl and one in Frostfur Captives.

Check out the Golemworks Incident for the 4th to last bracket.

Looked it up, and it seems that's a hippogriff.

Dark Archive 4/5

If you want to give them a mimic they won't soon forget, then I recommend

this scenario:
Thralls of the Shattered God

Ah, crud. I was trying to remember if it was a griffon or a hippogriff and I got it wrong. Still, closest to it I can remember seeing in a scenario.

we had two scenarios in a row with deathtrap oozes.

Now the rogue insists that the ooze cuddling druid attempts to wild empathy every trap he finds...

Spoiler:
Hollywood does all kinds of vampires. I'll agree with Terror at Whistledown and The Cultist's Kiss for the kind they seem to prefer.

There are hippogriffs in The Confirmation.

I don't recall any merfolk, but there are sahuagin playing a similar role in The Hydra's Fang Incident, gillfolk in First Steps part 3 (retired) amd The Confirmation, or aquatic elves in Murder on the Throaty Mermaid.

There are other liches in Fate of the Fiend, Ancients' Anguish and probably more.

Realm of the Fellnight Queen makes good use of a treant and gargoyles.

Scions of the Sky Key part 2 has a dinosaur, either a T rex or an allosaur.

Halls of Dwarven Lore has an encounter with several gremlins. If they want the movie kind, consider goblins (Rise of the Runelords part 1, Rise of the Goblin Guild, Emerald Spire level 1) and kobolds (Sewer Dragons of Absalom, True Dragons of Absalom) as well.

Shadow's Last Stand part 2 has a doppelganger.

Looking for a griffon, not hippogriff (why do people keep reading hippogriff on the list?).

Haven't done Confirmation with these two so maybe gillmen will suffice, but aquatic elves on the Mermaid didn't.
He wants actual gremlins. He's done lots of kobold and goblin scenarios.

Silver Crusade 3/5

Giant Scorpion in

Spoiler:
Sarkorian Prophecy
, though it's an optional encounter.

Werecreature in

Spoiler:
Dead Man's Debt

Gremlins in

Spoiler:
Veteran's Vault

Trolls in

Spoiler:
Ironbound Schism

Minotaur (kinda) in

Spoiler:
Traitor's Lodge

Djinni in

Spoiler:
Valley of Veiled Flame

I also remember a couple from modules, but nothing that didn't have a scenario listed already. The Harrrowing has at least

Spoiler:
a giant ant and djinni

Scarab Sages 5/5 5/5 *** Venture-Captain, Netherlands

Is it a 'i wanna fight this' list? If they want to encounter the creatures, but not nececairy kill them, you have to resque a minotaur in deleriums tangle.

That would work too.

That would work too.

Deleriums tangle is extra funny as the minotaur got lost in a maze.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Player just added unicorns to his list.
