Order 4120795 shipped from Paizo on Friday, December 9th. The e-mail that I received said that it would spend 4-8 days in transit.

The last event tracked for this package was its arrival in Philadelphia the evenining of December 14th. There have been no tracking updates since then.

Today, December 21st, is the 8th business day since the package shipped. Since I am on the East Coast, I can confirm that the package was not delivered today. I sent an e-mail to USPS info yesterday and have received no response as of 4:45 this afternoon.

I am now beginning to wonder whether something may have happened to my order. Is there anything that you can do from your end to check up on this package? It is not important that this package arrive before Christmas, but I want to ensure that it hasn't already fallen through the cracks somewhere.

I'm in nearly the same boat with 4144662. Mine arrived in Denver on 16 December and has not updated since. We've had a few porch package thefts in the area recently, but I've had a wife and 2 noisy dogs home all week that would have noticed. I'm never using UPS-MI again. It's worth the extra few $ to have peace of mind with UPS.

Mine just got scanned into the local post office. UPS-MI is nice for cheap delivery much of the time, except for a few notable exceptions, particularly holidays.

First, even though the tracking number is issued as soon as it is registered with UPS, it doesn't actually leave the Paizo warehouse until they get enough parcels going out, maybe to the same location (I read the number is 100). Second, it ultimately has to end up in USPS hands, which is without a doubt the most inconsistent delivery service on the planet. Our post office is small (a town of 27,000), and my wife actually witnessed the mayhem just the other day. There was a single person logging and scanning ALL of the delivered packages. I'd be willing to bet it was actually delivered Monday morning, and it simply didn't get scanned till today. They just aren't equipped to handle Christmas deliveries well.

Anyway, now I can put the dice I ordered into my son's dragon sheath (strange name for a dice case) before wrapping it! Woot!

There has been no update for my package. The tracking info remains unchanged, and it had not been delivered when I left for work at 9 a.m. Going back through the tracking of the shipping e-mails for prior months, I did find one instance when a package was delivered with no record that my local post office ever had the package.

So this is either the second time that my local post office failed to register receiving it, or the first time that my package was completely lost in the mail.

Thanks for letting us know! It does look like your shipment just hit a delay when it hit the Post Office, which is not surprising for this time of year. We almost always see the shipment still arrive a few days later when they have these sorts of holdups, but this one just may be taking extra long because of the holidays.

I think the next best bet would be to contact the Post Office and see if they are able to help you locate it. If you click on the tracking link provided in your shipping confirmation email, you should see a 26-digit USPS Delivery Confirmation Number at the top of the tracking boxes. That should be the number that the USPS needs to find the shipment, so hopefully they may be able to provide you with some further information.

If the shipment is truly lost or if the tracking shows that it's starting to make it's way back to us, just let us know and we'll be happy to get a replacement set up to be send out to you as soon as possible. Please don't hesitate to ask if there's anything else we can help out with in the meantime.

Since I have tomorrow off from work, I will stop by my local post office early tomorrow afternoon if the package does not arrive by then. I received no response to my e-mail inquiry (although I think I did leave out that confirmation number), but the folks at my local post office are usually very helpful.

The followup from this is rather discouraging. My local post offices (Palmyra and Cinnaminson in NJ) are pointing the finger at UPS for entering data to the effect that they turned over the package to USPS when in fact USPS never received it. The Cinnaminson office mentioned receiving over 150 similar complaints about other packages sent the same way by a variety of different stores.

I tried to call UPS but did not have the patience to wait on hold on the phone to UPS to hear what they had to say. The wait time was rather long when I called.

I will let you guys know if I have any further news by the time your office re-opens on Tuesday. If there is no further update, you can take that to mean that my package still failed to arrive as of the end of the day on Monday.

One correction: the e-mail that I mentioned in the first posting in this thread was to UPS, not USPS. I sent that e-mail from a work e-mail that I last checked at 5 p.m. yesterday and will not be able to check again until Tuesday, January 3rd.

Bummer. I switched all of my future deliveries to UPS ground. I don't trust the USPS.

To summarize the situation with my package: Entering the USPS Delivery Confirmation Number (done once by myself and twice by local post office folks) showed a final status of en route to destination as of December 16th (a Saturday). The Cinnaminson post office viewed that entry with suspicion and suggested that this was a false entry by UPS-MI, as sending a package directly from Philadelphia to my home in NJ was against their current practices (and I can confirm that packages from you that went via Philadelphia to me generally went to another post office (usually Cinnaminson) and the Palmyra before being delivered to my home.

In the unlikely event that the post office has this package somewhere, it is sufficiently mangled as to be unscannable, which suggests that they would not be able to get whatever is left of it to me or back to you. I had sent an e-mail about this package to UPS-MI on 12/20 and had received no reply as of 5 PM EST on 12/22. I realized that following up with them would be pointless, as the only thing they could possibly tell me is that they turned the package over to USPS.

Maybe you can sort out from other orders gone awry whether responsibility for this lost package lies with UPS-MI or USPS. As of today (Monday, 12/26), I still have not received the package, and at this point it is seeming ever less likely that I will receive it. So, I will leave it up to you when to set up the replacement shipment, and I will let you know immediately in the unlikely event that I actually receive the package this week (when I will be home most of the time, unlike most weeks).

I'm sorry to hear about all that trouble! I'm not sure what the hold up was with USPS, but it looks like the tracking started updating again yesterday, so hopefully it finishes it making its way to you today or tomorrow.
