kineticists and retraining.

Rules Questions

There are plenty of topic based on the retraining of kineticists, but none of them answer my question.

Can you retrain the elemental focus? For example: I want to retrain the expanded element(water) for Aether. Is it possible?

I would say, yes. Sorcerers can retrain their Bloodline and that would be the equivalent to a kineticist's Elemental Focus.

You'd probably have to retrain your utilities and infusions too though, and separately from the focus, Unlike a bloodline, it's arcana, and the powers involved, Elemental Focus and Wild Talents are not a package.

There is no official way to do it. You would have to talk to your GM and see if you and he/she could come up with a way to do it. Like Faelyn said, any utility talents and infusions you have of that element and not your other elements would also have to be retrained at the same time.

I've heard this said a couple times on the boards, but I haven't been able to figure out what the worry is. You can retrain class levels. So, at worst, it would seem you can retrain your Kineticist levels into (say) Fighter levels, and then retrain them back into Kineticist levels.

Am I missing something?...
