Hello all. I was once playing a game of PFS with a guy who had a barbarian with quite high DR and I seem to recall that he had a way to double his DR against the first hit he took each round.
Does anyone know how to do this?
I could be remembering it wrong as this was quite a while ago now. I have a character in a home game who is building around being very hard to kill and this would be great for him.

I'd imagine that this would be the Stalwart and Improved Stalwart feats from Ultimate Combat - You'll need Endurance and Diehard to get them, though.

I suspect the guy you were playing with was using Bolstered Resilience, which doubles your DR as an Immediate action against a single attack; but that leaves you fatigued afterwards, so unless it was high level play he would have been using some other technique to negate that drawback as well.
Bolstered Resilience only requires that you have DR, but I'm not too hip to the various ways to get immunity to fatigue at lower levels, so I can't help you there.
EDIT:
Although, for the low low price of 8000 GP, you could get a Flawed Scarlet & Green Cabochon Ioun Stone, which turns fatigued into sickened, which you could then take the Internal Fortitude Rage Power to negate. Of course, that would still mean you would have to wait until eighth level to get the ball rolling...
