I got an email regarding the above order. It says it only contains 1 item (my monthly sub, stranges aeons #4), but I have the GM screen in my side cart, which shows something along the lines of "shipping with a later order" . How do I get this order to include my GM screen?

Thanks for your question! It looks like the GM Screen is still in your sidecart because we are currently waiting on a reprint of that product to arrive in our warehouse. While we don't have an estimate for when those will be arriving, it should join the next available subscription shipment that is generated after we have received it.

I'm sorry for any confusion or inconvenience that this may have caused! We do still have stock of both the Advanced Player's Guide, Ultimate Combat, and Ultimate Magic Alternate Cover, as well as the Advanced Class Guide Alternate Cover. If you'd like us to swap the version you have now for one of those, just let us know. Otherwise, the screen should remain pending until we receive our restock.

If switching means I can get it with this months order I would like to do that as I have some games coming up. I enjoy the Advanced Class Guide alternate cover and would be fine with that.

The email you got was the shipping email. Your order shipped out last week and I can no longer add the Advanced Class Guide Screen to it. Did you want me to put it in your sidecart instead of the one that is currently there so it ships with your January subscription order?

The email says "expected to ship from the Paizo warehouse by Wednesday, December 14 via Standard Postal Delivery, estimated 4 to 8 business days in transit."

So it has already shipped 2 weeks early? It would be nice if you could just send me the product I ordered and send it in a reasonable time, why a couple of months? Nothing indicated it was out of stock when I ordered it, had I known this I would have picked whatever was available. Please fix this issue for me and waive the absurd $12 to ship something that costs $2 to ship so I don't have to wait until the end of january to get it.

With subscriptions we handle the shipping a little differently than with unique order. An order is considered shipped when the shipping label is printed. With unique orders this is the last thing that happens. The warehouse pulls the items, packs them up, then affixes the shipping label to the package. At that point all the is left to do is hand it to the postal service. With subscriptions we do something called label runs. This means we print all of the shipping labels for any orders that are identical, in this case just an Adventure Path. Then we assembly line style pack up the envelopes and affix the shipping labels to them. This process can take a few days due to the number of orders in a label run. For that reason the shipping email (which is sent when the shipping label is printed and is when the PDFs are granted to your account and you are charged for the order) for subscriptions will say, "expected to ship from the Paizo warehouse by <last day of estimated shipping window, this month December 14>". Once the shipping label is printed the order has been finalized and cannot be changed.

Since the original GM Screen was in your sidecart I asked if you wanted me to put the alternate there instead. It can certainly be shipped out on its own right away if you prefer.

The shipping rates you see are the rates we get from the postal service. We do not make any money on shipping. The cost of an item does not have any bearing on the shipping rates. The postal services determine the cost of shipping based on size, weight, dimensional weight, location, and other factors, but the cost of an item is not one of them.

Thanks for putting in the order, however I think you accidentally forgot to waive the shipping. I have a subscription and should have gotten it without being charged $12. Please fix.

If the GM Screen had shipped along with Adventure Path 112 the shipping would have been $12.87. I am issuing a refund for the difference to your original payment method. You should be able to see the refund of $6.48 on your account as soon as your bank processes it.


Thanks for doing that. Could you explain how the sidecart works? I thought it was to avoid the shipping charge since you already have something shipping out. Your company seems to have some weird shipping policies (and insane prices, but thats set by the shipper you said), I'd just like so clarification for the future to avoid $12 shipping on a product that I could just get for cheaper somewhere else.
