I have been using it for my IG campaign (currently in book 3) and I like it a lot. I think it works very well to put the focus on the scrounged tech and equipment they find rather than purchasing new stuff of their own, which puts the blanace heavier on the tech than on magic items. It also has helped out the party in times when they were very far from access to shops (book 2, and I can forsee that happening again in book 4) by given them those stat boosts without relying on buying new gear partway through.

I ended up deciding just to use resistance and deflection bonus parts of the abp <_< Because I don't want to make certain cybertechs non existant nor redesign them(and they do help with not needing belts or natural armor amulet if players want to use them). Though there aren't cybertechs related to mental stats, I figured out it'd be unfair to martials if casters got their stats for free.. I guess headband and belt items are mostly composed of stat increasing items anyway, so I guess its not huge loss if headband is used for stat items. Most varied slots abp frees are rings, neckslot and cape anyway, so 2 out of 3 being freed up(if they don't opt for cybertech) is nice I guess
(sure there are tech items that give specific resistance bonuses, but they are really specific(and not only thing they do) so I think its fine to let them exists without alteration)
