It seems to me that, because of the Evangelist's Aligned Class ability, you gain many other powers and benefits for a relatively small cost. Kineticist is notoriously incapable of multiclassing, so would this be a solution? Is it a good trade? What deity would you choose? And with what element(s)?
I'm personally considering this for a mono-element Pyro with Sarenrae as a deity, possibly VMC Oracle (Flame Mystery, Powerless Prophecy Curse). It already mostly fits with the concept I had for him, so why not?

Other than delaying everything 1 level (for which you at least get other things from Evangelist in exchange), the reduction in HP is probably the biggest drawback (including non-racial FCB 1hp/level), but that's not too much of an issue as long as you aren't focusing on Kinetic Blade/Whip, which I'm not. The +4 untyped bonus to one Ability Score from Spiritual Form (AKA "Holy shit, more Con bonus!"), which you'll ideally get at 15th level, likely makes up for a lot of that HP, and also makes up for the 2 points of Fortitude Save that you lose (if you pick Constitution, which you should).

What HP reduction? Both are D8 HD classes.
You lose FCB HP, but that's it, and the +4 Con from Evangelist more than makes up for that.
Not really. You don't get the +4 Con until 10th level in the prestige class, and even then it is only temporary (minutes per day).
So the hit point loss is based on taking the hit point option for your primary class.

Except he said "(including non-racial FCB 1hp/level)". Emphasis on the 'including'. My point was that it costs you 10 HP at most, and those purely from FCB.

Yes, I was actually mistaken and forgot Kineticist was d8 and not d10, so the hit point penalty is actually even less than I was thinking.
15 minutes per day (the minimum allowance of when you can gain access to Spiritual Form) is nothing to sneeze at. You could easily use it for every fight in a day as long as there aren't extended chases involved. Remember that 1 minute is 10 rounds, which equates to 150 rounds per day at 15th level.

I like this for all kind of deities. Even beyond the traditionally elementally aligned ones.
Of course you have Asmodean fire kineticists, but I also see Earth/Void "grave" kineticists of Urgathoa.
"Iron" Earth kineticists of Gorum or Dispater.
Blood kineticists of Achaekek and Zura.
Water kineticists dedicated to the service of Sobek, Besmara, or Ovonovo.
Gozreh seems to cover the most bases, with Air, Water, and Plant kineticists.
And of course the Elemental Lords themselves.
