As listed in the title: What are your favorite monsters? I need monsters for a campaign I'm running, between levels 8-12.

My favorite monsters... are owned by spooky wizards who live in a tower down on the coast. So I cannot speak them aloud, lest I incur the wizards' wrath.
On a completely unrelated note, isn't it interesting how few brain-eating monsters there are?
Favorite monster, by far? Otyugh and oozes. Nothing like having creatures be your city's waste disposal system.
Favorite monster to face in battle? More difficult... Prefer to start dealing with outsiders at that point...
Gotta say, nothing like a classic chromatic dragon enslaving a following of goblins or skum. Make it a homebrew Dracolich for bonus points. Final answer.

Well I'm a big fan of Hell so I find myself drawn to devils, and the hornier they are the better--go cornugon!
However, my favorite monster is the gibbering mouther, a great beast that's fun to roleplay and has lots of fun doodads to freak out the squares.
Another favorite in the same vein is the chaos beast--its amorphous body makes for a very memorable encounter.
Oh, and don't forget the Havero.
Vampires are pretty fun.
Don't tell the PC's, but since it's undead you could totally dump the constitution.
