Osiriontologist Feat - Is it okay?

The Osiriontologist feat (Osirion, Land of the Pharaohs) gives a fairly hefty +5 bonus to checks about ancient Osirion.

I'm tempted to allow it because I generally want my players to make these checks to fully understand the details and story. I've never seen a player actually take a feat to improve knowledge checks, but this bonus is big enough it could entice somebody, particularly the archaeologist bard in my group.

Because the bonus is so large and I've only read the first 2 issues of the AP in detail I just want to check in - does anyone see any problems allowing the feat?

In Osirion, Legacy of Pharaohs, there's an updated version under a different name (Osiriontology, maybe?) that is a little more balanced to modern feat design. ^_^

I think you will find that any character that intends to take this feat has already invested enough to make the point moot. Our bard archaeologist is curb-stomping everything related to knowledge (history) which tends to be where most ancient Osirion checks lie. At 10th level, he's at +21 before adding the additional +5, with a relatively low INT (+2). A 10th level investigator probably wouldnt even bother. Into the 4th book there arent many checks I've seen where it would be that game changing.

Osirionology that Kalindlara mentions is not as powerful in terms of total bonus, but it applies to Osirion, not ancient Osirion, and is probably not something they'll want.
