Who's With Raheli?

Hey, all. I just started Season of the Runelords with some friends, and I've decided to give Raheli a try. What's the best cohort for her? I've used the centipede for a bit of rogue-like oomph, but the extra 1d12 die on combat checks seems like overkill. I've been able to handle fights just fine with her hair and her arcane spells.

Who do you (or would you) bring with your Raheli, and why?

I play her with the flesh poppet. She can sport cures, and her Gravewalker role all but demands it. Plus, who doesn't love creepy dolls?

Yeah, I've tried a couple different familiars with her, but the ability to put Cure spells in your deck just makes the Flesh Poppet really good.

In other news, I'm pretty convinced that if you saw just a video of us playing, I'm not sure you could tell the difference between myself and Eliandra.

Silver Crusade

I dunno. When I'm playing S&S Alahazra, and I scout a boon, I sometimes reach across the table saying, "Mine, all mine!" That might give me away. ;-)

I base my choice on the scenario. If all things are equal, I often go with the Turtle, 'cause, Fortitude is your friend.

Interesting. After a whole Runelords campaign, the turtle is the only one I didn't use.

I mostly switched between Squirrel and Centipede early on, making the most of Raheli's high Dex. A big deciding factor was whether Stealth or Acrobatics were needed for closing in a particular scenario. In the scenario (scenarios?) where just about every closing check is Wisdom or Survival, I took the dinosaur.

Towards the end I got used to having Divine spells in her deck and took the Flesh Poppet every time.
