Positive and Negative energies are weird. Sufficiently weird that somebody might consider researching what they can and cannot do.

How would you go about building somebody who sees the stability of Negative energy as a possible way to increase healing effectiveness? Short of trying to switch everybody to being undead, of course.

Necromancer wizard?
Cleric (negative channelling)?
Witch who deliberately seeks out a patron?
other?

To research something you'd want a focus in intelligence. And you'd probably want the versatile channeler feat to get both. To me that says necromancer.

Negative energy really can't be used to heal most though; the character has to be either deluded or a very parochial dhampir.

Depending on the exact specifics, using unholy water for Infernal Healing *may* be using Negative Energy to heal

Hex channeler witch can work better than a necromancer wizard (IMO), as the wizard's Power Over Undead ability only works for Command/Turn Undead. A hex channeler can actually heal or harm with negative or positive energy (even though they need to use Hex choices to improve the dice).

How would that interact with Versatile Channeler?

The hex channeler actually gains the Channel Energy class feature, but is not a "necromancer or neutrally aligned cleric." However, as the Versatile Channeler feat was published before the archetype, you could make a case with the GM to allow it; you could also make a case against it (per the wording, a warpriest would also not be able to take the feat).

Thinking about it, it probably wouldn't fit well with Hex channeler anyway since I think the "increase channel dice hex" would only apply to one or the other.
