Silver Crusade

If you cast awaken on two of the same creature and they have babies are the babies awakend too....Seems to be the case for when you cast it on trees (treants). Just curious.

I have no designs to become Willard, nope, no plans at all...whatsoever...period...

The rules do not specify.

There is no reason why two Awakened animals will have Awakened children, but also no reason why they would not.

Results may vary, consult your GM, void where prohibited, offer not valid on the Para Elemental Plane of Steam.

Although it seems like somewhat of a setting consideration: if high-level spells were generally common enough for there to be more than a few awakened animals around at once, they probably would be more inclined to mate with each other, and thus if Awakening bred true, I imagine you'd end up with Narnia soon enough.

Liberty's Edge

I believe there was an awakened stallion in an AP who's goal was to get one of his kids awakened, so the herd would have good leadership in the future.

I do not think there were any other awakened horses in the herd, so no guidance there for awakened being inherited.

Kaladin - You think Narnia, I think Princess Mononoke. Stay out of the awakened animal woods.

Silver Crusade

Thanks all, I did talk to the GM his response was "Nonononononononono"

@Kaladin That's what I was thinking. Although I have taken leadership and turned my main rat into a cohort (permanent Anthropomorphic transformation and awakened him.) He's to weak to be a Reepicheap (the mouse from Prince Caspian for those who don't know.)

We are playing in the Carrion Crown AP and my character is a cross between Jekyll/Hyde, Dr Moreau, and Willard, and I'm not the creepiest party member.

Both Narnia and mononoke suggest traits that the awaken spell does not grant, anthropomorphic traits and supernatural powers respectively.
