Who sounds like they'd be crazy fun to play at their table? Who's take on rules or settings whets your whistle for gaming?

I am thankful that anyone is willing to game with me, because I am simply not as good at this as I was when I was younger, but I still love to do it.

I am thankful for this community, and the opportunity to find like minded people willing to game with an old guy like me.

All of you, playing in games with others that you are happy to have met, you are all great in my book

I really couldn't have said that better. Good on ya, T.

I suppose I should start things for a thread I started.

I'd be very intrigued to play in a game by Kirth Gerson (or anyone who feels they have a very solid grasp of Kirthfinder, really.)

The way he's simultaneously disadvantaged casters while advantaging martials to create a more balanced, team-oriented game with a cla$ic 'fantasy adventure' feel holds a distinct appeal that contrasts with the way I run my own games.

Well, again I don't like leaving anyone out, but the two that seems to come to mind most (and it's because of interactions with them) are Jiggy and Mark Hoover. Jiggy because he ran an excellent PbP game where I proved my incompetence at such a game and would love to redeem myself in a face to face session, and Mark Hoover, whose descriptions of his classic style settings are dead on and very interesting.

Marky Mark sounds like a top guy on either side of the screen.

I've argued with kirth(and TOZ for that matter) but I feel like I'd probably enjoy their games.

I find it a lot harder to post here than 'forum members you want to play with' simply because GMing can be a huge task, and without seeing how someone reacts in a large number of different situations I find it hard to come up with a list.

Off the top of my head, for pathfinder, I'd go with Kalindlara, Dungeonmastercal, Owen K.C. Stephens, or Mark Seifter; all of whom have shown through numerous posts a fundamental understanding of game mechanics, 'fun,' setting design, and general camaraderie. I'm not sure how many other posters I've seen enough content from that I'd be able to say with any degree of certainty.

The 8th Dwarf always had such magical things to say about rolemaster that I really wish I'd had the chance to play at one of his tables; anyone who can love a game so positively has to be a good GM.

I am really honored to be included in such amazing company. Thanks!

So long as it's not PbP ('cause I sssssuck at PbP, and it's pretty exclusively my own fault), I'd love to play with most of the people I've interacted with at Paizo over a table.

Actually having as a GM is going to cut that list by an awful lot - not because I dislike people or even think they game poorly, but because from interactions, I know for certain that their rules interpretations differ from mine by such a significant degree that neither of us would have fun if either of us GM'd for the other. That said, expectations management may be able to handle that, and doing a different system may be "enough" of an expectations management to fix that on its own.

I'd be glad to have you at a table; for one thing, your playtest reports during the vigilante playtest were really helpful!

:D that's great to hear! The vigilante is an incredibly fun class, and the stalker, to me, is the ultimate rogue class; it's currently my favorite overall, and likely will remain so for some time. Thank you (and everyone else involved) for all your hard work on Ultimate Intrigue; it takes the game in a really enjoyable direction!

Stalker wouldn't have turned out as well without all the support I had from you guys on the playtest; making the "rogue" option that was to stand up to a pair of "casting" options that shared much of the same chassis was a tall order, and one that required significant data.

Sorry for the vigilante derail. To keep this on topic, I would say the forum member I most want as a GM would be Linda, due to the fact that I know what she's like as a GM; creative, adaptable, and willing to put in an insane amount of prep (in Kingmaker, her modified monster-size kingdom spreadsheet for Kingmaker and entire new hexgrid for the region south of Silverstep alone took hundreds of hours, particularly the spreadsheet).

Of people that I know that DM: DMG, Ravingdork, TOZ Grimmy (I miss his pbp Dming), Kobold cleaver, Hmm, mosts of the grognards from the grognard thread, all the people who convert AD&D adventures to PF or 5e, Stefa hill (gods I had to check 15 pages of "my favorites" to remember this name).

A special one is creighton broadhurst, because godam the adventures he writes.

Orthos.

I'd love to GM for TOZ, if only to give the guy a night off. :-)

Otherwise, I'm intrigued by his Scooby Doo game. :-)

We're in Trial of the Beast now. The judge said shenanigans would result in a fine of 1000gp. Shaggy had to sit in the audience rather than take the stand, lest we all go broke.
