What is the purpose of a FAQ? It is to clear up confusion. Not to change existing elements in the game. That's called errata.

That's the way it should be. But sadly, they change rules all the time via FAQ. All. The. Time!

"A Teamwork feat is called a Teamwork Feat because it directly profits from teamwork." Am I paraphrasing your view correctly?

Kinda. I wrote that to show that BWG doesn't break bbangerter's "<tag>-feats always have something to do with <tag>" principle even if you can use it solo. I view the feat tags as only existing for interactions with class features. Social Bravery is a combat feat not because if has anything to do with combat but solely so that Fighters can pick it up at as a bonus feat.

In light of the many examples in fiction, I consider not being able to use BWG solo to be silly.

My definition of a Teamwork Feat is "A feat which requires another ally with the feat to function".

If only the rules would state that.

As someone who has played an unhealthy amount of Guild Wars (where they had the same problem until they changed every instance where you are not included to say "other ally" or "other allies"), if something talks about ally/allies, I presume that it includes the character itself.

@Merm7th: You can not "also" have the feat yourself. That fulfills the a) exception of the FAQ.
