Could a barbarian use rage to gather wheat more quickly?
Like let's say they're just grabbing up the wheat with their bare hands and throwing it into a sack. if they go into a rage, could they grab bigger handfuls of wheat? could they also move their arms more quickly
Lets say we are taking 3 bushels of corn to the market. There are multiple other farmers also taking their bushels to the market; about 300 bushels are being sold altogether. This is in a village of about 5,000, where the population depends on corn as a staple grain. The global average for the price of corn is about 1 silver coin, since this is a world where most nations depend on either rice or grain, but the costs should be lower here due to the regional abundance of it. How do i somewhat accurately simulate the supply/demand curve to find the local market equilibrium, so i can sell my corn at the correct price for this region?

And why shouldn't they be expected to be optimised? Sure you can have a crappy farmer show up at times, but this is literally how they stay alive. Adventurers pack half a dozen weapons and potions just in case, why wouldn't a commoner be as good as possible? Skill Focus hardly reeks of optimisation to me, it's one feat that boosts a skill the farmer will literally use every day of his life.
All PCs aren't optimized. All NPCs in published material aren't optimized.
Why would you expect all farmers to be optimized. Not every farmer is as dedicated to their craft as others. Some produce a huge surplus and are successful and profitable. Others go into debt trying to keep their operation afloat and eventually fail. The vast majority exist somewhere in between.
Thinking every farmer is optimized by game mechanics is operating under the assumption that all farmers in Pathfinder are equally excellent at their job, which is a pretty ludicrous position to take.

Some GMs may declare that accurately getting the grain into the sack requires concentration, so cannot be done while raging.
Others may say it requires concentration, but be more lenient and allow you to roll a d100 to see what percent makes it into the sack each round due to lack of concentration.
So, expect table variance.

Granddaughter of a farmer here. Things that may be of interest:
30 bushels per acre is probably a decent average for the US. This varies greatly from state to state, because of the average amount of rainfall received. The further west of the Mississippi River you get, the drier it gets, and BPA drops accordingly.
Ex: The 5-year average BPA for Missouri is 51 (google 'wheat yield per acre'). In Oklahoma, it's 28.5. Yields vary from year to year as well. In terrible drought conditions, 6 BPA is possible.
We're talking about modern farming methods and wheat varieties. In the 1930's, Missouri's average was around 15 BPA, which would more closely reflect yields with medieval-level tech. Of course, magic totally changes that, but the magnitude of the change is up to the GM.

Beginning to see why some forums have policies against posting homework problems.

Tearing at the plant with bare hands... would that pull the roots up with it making it harder to process the actual wheat from the stalks? Can a barbarian rage with a scythe? That would be far more effective I would assume.

Gonna expand this a little.
1. What would be the AC, Hardness and HP of individual Wheat stalk?2. How many Wheat stalks fit to one 5 foor square?
3. if the said Barbarian has Whirldwind Attack at what point the player character loses his mind making the nth attack roll against individual Wheat stalk?

Actually, fun fact: The same reality warping that made this a practical melee weapon (to accommodate people misunderstanding what a war scythe is) has actually rendered it entirely unsuitable for actual farming now. Because of this, everyone just uses their hands, or actual war scythes.
