Horror Adventures (p. 47) has the Mooncursed Barbarian archetype. The text states that of the rage power

Text:
When using rounds of her shifting rage, instead of the
usual bonuses and penalties from rage, the mooncursed
transforms into a Medium version of this animal’s form
as if under the influence of beast shape I, treating her class
level as her caster level whenever relevant. Other aspects of
rage aside from the bonuses and penalties, such as the skill
restrictions on skills and effects that require concentration,
still apply during a shifting rage.
This ability alters rage.

Is the Mooncursed Barbarian fatigued after rage?

Yes, you are fatigued.

it seems to me that quote is taken completely out of context and in fact has no bearing on fatigue.

Other aspects of rage aside from the bonuses and penalties, such as the skill restrictions on skills and effects that require concentration, still apply during a shifting rage.

that being said the first part is the part where they talk about penalties. i'm not sure if fatigue is a penalty of rage or a byproduct after its done.

The ability alters rage, but only affects what happens during rage. What happens after raging remains unaltered, therefore you are fatigued.

that sounds correct.

If the mooncursed barbarian shifts how long does that shift last. Is it for how many rounds that the barbarian haso rage?

Yes, you are fatigued.

Thanks. One other question: Can this archetype attack on the round that it enters rage? "Normal" barbarians can certainly do this (it is a free action) but would having to change shape be an additional action? What type of action is it to both change shape and enter rage?

The Exchange Owner - D20 Hobbies

(Su) abilities are standard action unless otherwise specified.

Fortunately, it is otherwise specified as a free action in the other aspects of rage.

Would this barbarian get the natural attacks (e.g. claw/claw/bite) of the assumed animal form? Beast Shape does not appear to grant this.

beast shape is a polymorph spell, in the magic section it has rules about polymorph spells, which grants you proficiency with all natural attacks your shape has.
