Lvl 12 a Skald, a Bloodrager, a Fighter, an Assassin and ?

Advice

Hi,

I want to know which character will be the best with that group, and we are starting at lvl 12.

I am thinking going for a caster druid but i wanted to know what the collective mind will think.

Thanks in advance.

Well likely the Assassin picks off the tougher looking ones as stealthily as possible, and then everyone else goes in to beat them into submission in the middle of the confusion, while the Skald buffs everyone. Druid sounds like a good choice because of the battlefield control spells. You can use some new stuff, by Treantmonk's druid guide is still a good read.

Well, what role do the characters fulfill?

I presume the skald will be buffing, but what about the other three?

Are they all melee? If so, you def need someone able to make ranged attacks.

Anyway, seems like a caster would fit in nicely.

Do you know how the rest of the PCs are built? That would be useful to understand what the party needs.
Also, which class did the Assassin started with before the PrC?

Well i don t know the exact builds, and will not be able to know them before the game.
I assume mostly melee characters beside the skald maybe.

It s rolled atrribute so i got 17 16 16 13 13 7.

I have 3 characters i think of :
- caster druid
- reincarnate druid
- shaman

And as a joker, if the gm allow the cheesy spellslinger/witch combo.

And thanks for your answers already.

The nature fang druid can make a pretty good archer.

Liberty's Edge

A bard would run great with that party. Inspire courage would be good for everyone in the party.

Unless your skald is one of the casting friendly archetypes, you may prefer to make your caster more of a pre-buffer who can also fight.

The Exchange

A cleric, witch or sorcerer that specializes in altering the battlefield or applying penalties/conditions to enemies would work well.

Def a bard. Stack with skald and you'll enjoy like what... +6 to hit and damage? More for the two handers by a point or so on damage.

Plus the assassin may need a scout buddy.

Maybe a reach-build Evangelist Cleric? A source of Inspire Courage is always good. You've already got a source of bardic spellcasting. A Cleric's spell list would make a welcome addition. Plus, once you're done casting your first-round buffs or control spells, you could ham out and two-hander enemies with the rest of your party.
