What Should I Do Next? (Build Advice)

Advice

Silver Crusade

Please see my profile for the full character build.

This character is at lvl 3. He is my PFS character, and I'd like to make sure that he stays useful as he goes up in levels. Any advice would be appreciated.

The Plan...

* Lvl 4:
(1) Gets 2 lvl 2 spells. Grab invisibility and tongues. Because going invisible seems useful, even if it is only for 4 minutes. And tongues because comprehend languages already came in handy once, but without the ability to speak back life was harder than it had to be.
(2) +1 Dex, pushing him up to Dex17.

* Lvl 5
(1) Gets a feat. Go for Manyshot? I figure that with True Strike, you give up an attack for +20 to hit with your next shot that ignores concealment. Manyshot means that the near guaranteed hit will hit twice. Seems like a decent tactic against foes with high AC.

* Lvl 6
(1) I get a teamwork feat. I already have Coordinated Shot, given that inquisitors count all allies as having the same teamwork feat. What should I go for next?

I'm thinking precise strike. He'll be an archer who has sneak attack damage. With precise strike, he'll be doing 2d6 extra damage in close combat when he sneak attacks, making him into a better switch hitter.

Other good ones seem to be...

Lookout (act in a surprise round if an ally can)
Intercept Charge (protect a squishy mage. Even as a ranged hero, the dwarf can still fight in close combat)

Any advice?

------------

Also as a ranged damage dealer, what further feats/equipment should I be prioritizing? My only idea right now is to get his bow enchanted (further +1 to hit and dmg) and to perhaps get it an ability like corrosive (for a further +1d6 dmg). Is this the best use of my money going forward?

My thanks in advance.

Level 4:
Invisibility is great, Tongues is good but you're probably better off getting it in Scroll form, especially since you already have Comprehend Languages. Resist Energy and Blistering Invective are two spells that see a lot of use. Get the +1 Dex.

Level 5:
Manyshot requires BAB+6, which you won't have until level 8, and Rapid Shot. Take Rapid Shot.

Level 6:
Lookout is good. I wholeheartedly recommend Friendly Fire Maneuvers as a ranged Inquisitor: None of your allies will provide cover against your ranged attacks, which is awesome on its own, plus it allows better use of Coordinated Shot.

As for weapon enhancements, on an archer I use Adaptive (flat 1000g price, the bow automatically adjusts to your Strength score) and Seeking (+1 enhancement to ignore miss chances). Cyclonic is great but I'm not sure how often disruptive wind effects appear in PFS, and it will probably be too expensive for a mid level character after getting the other enhancements. I would go for straight +'s after +1, Adaptive, and Seeking.

Thanks for the advice. So for the seeking bow, is that just 2000gc for the ability? And later another 2000 for the +1 to hit and +1 damage?

And I am so taking blistering invective. When facing a group of enemies it just sounds awesome. Plus the image of a dwarf pulling out a book of grudges, and causing actual damage to those whose crimes are read out loud? That's awesome.

A weapon has to be made a +1 weapon before it can have any other enhancements, so that costs 2000g. Adding Seeking makes it equivalent to a +2 weapon, which costs 8000g, so you would pay the 6000g difference.

Adaptive has a flat gold cost rather than being a +X equivalent, so you can put it on any composite bow that's already magical and it won't affect the price of future enhancements.

I see. So no point for me to get adaptive. The bow already has a +3'strength modifier and his str is 16. But I can pick up the +1 after this weekend's session. And from there save up the 6k for seeker. And that'll take care of his expenses for quite some time.

Thanks again for the advice!

Adaptive is still useful for two reasons. The first is that you can make use of any Strength buffs you might get. The second is that if you are riding the maximum Strength rating of your bow and you take Strength damage, you're taking a -2 penalty to hit on top of the loss in damage. And for a flat 1000g cost, that's less than 1/10 your WBL by level 5.

Silver Crusade

Never thought of that. I guess being lvl 3 and only getting 500ish gold per session has stopped me from seeing the big picture. Once I have 1k to spare I suppose it could indeed come in handy.
