My friends and I often play this game where we evaluate an existing character from another source and try to translate/replicate it into a pathfinder character. Ill kick it off with Yoda from star wars. How would you best create him in pathfinder?? I hope this stirs up as much fun and creative discussion as it does for us!

Is third party allowed?

Because a Jedi just screams to be built with the Dark Tempest prestige class from Ultimate Psionics. It gets you an energy blade plus psionic powers (which can easily be tailored towards telekinesis and precognition) and is pretty flexible overall. Race is the only sticking point for Yoda... you know what, I'm just going to say it: Goblin.

Lol, Goblin got a real chuckle out of me! We try to stay away from 3rd party and keep it as if we were going to use the character in society play tbo. I see where you were going with that though, it covers a lot of his aspects.

Go to hehehehe.

Yoda would be a level 20(+?) Gnome or goblin aether kineticist with Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Beam Sword) and Weapon Finesse.

Now do Vash the Stampede.

Vash would be a high level, Human Mysterious Stranger, Definitely with pistol specific feats. I'm honestly not sure how to go about replicating a cybernetic arm with multiple weapon qualities in pathfinder? maybe a cross class caster with the metal line of spells?

How about Geralt from the Witcher?

Sovereign Court

I'd say he's a deity-less Inquisitor/Alchemist gestalt.

Do Zoro. He has to wield three different swords and use them all in the same full attack.

hmmm, perhaps a fighter with two-weapon fighting and exotic proficiency in katanas to dual wield them, while using a "dancing" katana?

how you'd replicate his pound cannon though... (he has a move where he attacks with his swords in a way that he can make slow but powerful ranged attacks). Maybe multiclassed or gestalted with a kineticist...

idk, I think he wouldn't be an inquisitor, more probably a straight fighter or some class with dex to damage(depending on how much armor you make him wear). definitely half alchemist though.

as for my request for character creation, how would you make Jonathon Joestar.

Bandw2 wrote:

Seems like a plain Brawler with VMC Cleric and the Channel Smite feat for the undead destroying Hamon. A brawler with a few cleric levels works as well, to imitate some of the other abilities he gains. Whatever he is, his base stats are astronomically high based on how he's portrayed.

Anyone want to try making Neku Sakuraba?

I'd say that, with the number of different powers that Neku has access to, he's probably a wizard or an Arcanist of some kind. I'd lean towards Arcanist myself. Especially because he can replace his "spells" whenever he feels like it!

Next up, how about Darkwing Duck?

Tengu vigilante.

can we get Orlandu from Final Fantasy Tactics?

Sword lord dipped with... Eldrich knight maybe. care to try the Skyrim dovahkiin?

magus with words of power alternate castery thingy. Maybe Skald?

Uuuuummmm.... how about Mew Two?

How would you make the best X-Man, Gambit?

Staff Master/Card Caster Magus. theres actualy several builds out there for him.

What kind of Vigilante? It's a very versatile class, after all.

Catfolk Psychic would be the answer for me.

Scratch that (ha!), fleshwarped Catfolk Psychic. We gotta throw that genetic engineering in there somewhere!

Next up... Cu Chulainn from Irish Mythology.

Bandw2 wrote:

Long Arm + Lunge + Longarm Bracers ?

I'm more concerned with wielding three swords, actually.
I know you can have a dancing one, but it's not the same.

3.5 had Mouthpick Weapons. You could give Zoro a bite attack somehow and use the mouth to wield a third weapon in hand.

How do you wield three weapons in Pathfinder?

I had to research this one. I'd say a Aasimir Fighter/Barbarian with beast totem also maybe invulnerable archetype, and had all these levels when he was only but a child.

Hmm, how would you do Koichi with his Act 2 stand.

Diarmuid Ua Duibhne from Irish myth.
Others may know him as Lancer from Fate/Zero.

interestingly enough from what I can read, while he did have 2 spears one yellow and red, he used a sword and the yellow spear when facing strong enemies.

Yeah, the anime takes several liberties (shocking, I know) but yeah, two spears and two swords. He was like an Irish Boy Scout.

I think the closest I'd be able to come is a fighter feats heavily on mobility, spring attack, weapons focus for swords/spears a throw feat or two in there. Spears are totally vorpal and bleed enhanced maybe? tbo its hard to tell cant find a lot of actual data on him. I feel like he should have a version of the dancing weapon spell too. What about Elle Ragu from Shadow Skill?

For a fun little challenge, Chainer from Magic the Gathering.

The Exchange

Aeon Flux?

LizardMage wrote:

From what I remember of Chainer, he fits best as a Magus using a spiked chain (Magus abilities allow him to enhance it) and using Spell Blending to pick up some summoning magic and other spells to replicate the magic he was using. Phantasmal Killer is a pretty spot on spell for Chainer.

What about Sora from Kingdom Hearts?

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

a Magus? I think that covers him pretty well.

Here's an idea, how would someone make a Dark Souls Moonlight greatsword build. The sword can shoot short range laser beams and generally the caster can cast spells while wielding the greatsword.

Gnome Keneticist/Swashbuckler.

pulseoptional wrote:

I so need stats for him! Thinking Teisatsu with Smoke Bomb and Vanishing Trick.

Misaka Mikoto from "a certain scientific railgun" ?
Was thinking Air kineticist, but thats kinda missing the "railgun"...

Hmmmm... I would personally think that she's actually a primarily Geokineticist, in order to the get the Metal blast (to simulate the railgun) with her Expanded Element being Electricity.

MmmmmMMMmmm...

Oh! I got it! This will be a challenge...

Kvothe, the Arcane, the Bloodless, Kingkiller, the Thunder, the Fire, the Broken Branch, and least known of all, Arliden's Son.

Well Misaka would need Primary Air Secondary Earth and Expanded Earth, but sadly thats not possible :(

For Kvothe I think Bard(Archivist) or Bard(Magician) would fit, but his magic isnt really replicatable with Paizo material afaik

Eh, he would need at least a dip in monk, as well, due to his training with the Adem.

How about Meta Knight?

I'd say Paladin or Warpriest (I only have experience with him in Smash Bros.) Either Lawful Good or Neutral based on a quick wiki read.

Race...maybe Sylph? Kirby's race seems pretty tied to the element of Air, so yeah...I'd go Sylph.

LG Sylph Paladin or Warpriest.

Sabriel from the Abhorsen books. Might actually build this character for a campaign if I can figure out what class to do.

I've always wanted to make an Abhorsen. Necro-occultist maybe? Abjuration has bells as suggested implements.

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Cyrax, while he was still a human from MK.

If anybody else has read the Iron Elves series, I'd like to see Konowa.

I have been trying for years to adapt Dark Souls to pathfinder before I just gave up and decided this system just isn't the best fit for the soulsborne style of gameplay.

Here's something a little more esoteric: How would you build the Mayor of New York from the Lonely Island Song I Run New York?

A link to the song. Warning: some profanity.

This seems like it'd be clearly a Vigilante build.

I'd call Abhorsen a dirge bard.

I recall their is a Andriod Race one can use in Pathfinder. Plus if he follow Brigh (a technological God) it could provide a back story as to how he got his mechanically arm.

Kvothe would absolutely be some kinda wordcaster, although I'm not certain I'd call him a Bard. I'd say some kind of Words of Power Arcanist with a dip in Monk to represent the training he underwent in Wise Man's Fear, then make sure his first feat is Skill Focus: Perform (Strings) and take a trait to make Perform (Strings) a class skill. With decent CHA he'd have a strong bonus.

Somebody do Fisk from The Farseer Trilogy - an "assassin" trained in poison, enchantment and divination magic, swordplay (although he personally prefers an axe), and has an intelligent wolf animal companion.

I raise you Urza.

Or Tezzeret.

Actually a green skinned Blue

What about Damian Wayne, the worlds greatest detective Bruce Wayne's son, and Grandson to the Demon, Ra's Al Ghuls.
