Tired Old Builds

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Just looking for builds your sick of seeing. The old, tired, boring g builds that get used to often. Here's two of mine

1. Small race mounted combat builds. The rules are so broken regarding this build it's practically cheating.

2. Halfling dual welding Rogues. How many hundreds of these have been made I wonder.

Two handed weapon nova burst.

I haven't seen any one of these in 16 years of 3.0/3.5/Pathfinder, while playing 3-4 groups weekly.

Besides, what is broken about mounted combat? Unless you allow ragelancepounce nonsense?

I'll assume you're talking to the OP, as I've literally never been in a group without the main frontliner wielding a 2-handed weapon because it's just statistically the best, especially every barbarian ever.

The only real "too common" build that I can't stand is the conjurer/diviner wizard (aka *The* wizard build). One being their arcane school, the other being a majority of their spells.

EDIT: Also a shout-out to Druids with a Tiger Animal Companion, that's another no-brainer option.

Yep. Totally broken.

I put my response in one of your other threads.

Of course mounted combat builds tend to be small characters. Welcome to the dungeon, er, loss of many of your most powerful features for an extended combat period (what normal size people go through in dungeons) isn't overly fun. At least not for the person who loses a huge portion of their ability.
