medium - summoner multiclassing

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hi. I have a level 5 blood summoner player in my party that have picked a level in reanimated medium through narratives issues (He died with a soul curse but he managed to alter a war destiny in the hell). He is in Marshal Tier 2 as well (but this is temporary).

Summoner and medium are not good classes for multiclassing. The good thing about that level dip is that it allows him to keep playing with the character paying a kind of permanent negative level (suboptimal level). The only thing he likes of his medium level is the social skills he gained, but he would like to channel his spirit surge to his eidolon.

Do you know if there are a PrC, feat, or something about channeling spirit or other class features (such as rage, mutagen, etc) to an animal companion, mount, familiar or eidolon?

Thanks. (and sorry for my not native english...)

You may want to consider taking a 2nd medium level to gain the Shared Séance class feature. That way, the eidolon can benefit from the séance boon (assuming that the character summons the eidolon before performing their séance each day).

The player loves to preach and bluff, so the medium level dip it is useful for him, but I dont know if the shared seance spirit bonus for this eidolon worths more than another evolution point by leveling in summoner class.

However, I think the player would like that. I,ll ask him.

As a summoner, he was pretty tank with the eidolon and support with the main character. But the eidolon have very bad luck and he trends to dead in awful circunstances.
With shared seance, the character would reinforece the support role outside the combat, and the player does love downtime.
So, maybe the player could retrain his summoner feats and features to be a very flexible and support character outside combat. Medium and summoner can be very flexible, so It could be possible to find a sinergy between these classes, at least outside combat. Any suggestion for that build? It is a complicated and weird build, I know...

Thanks

Consider allowing just for this character a "boon companion" analogue for the summoner - if he's not a abusing the eidolon rules as is, this would allow the eidolon to keep up in HD etc. while taking more medium levels.

For the build, the medium is great because you can essentially pick you class any day.

I am a huge fan of houserules as a solution to characters wanting weird things, as long as it stays reasonable.

For example, there's no variant multiclassing option for mediums: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/character-advancement#TOC-Variant-Multiclas sing

Another option: make your own hybrid class between summoner and medium, something like spiritualist / medium.

I found house rules of occult adventures VMC here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Pathfinder_RPG/comments/3kyslc/variant_multiclassi ng_for_the_occult_adventures/ but it's not appealing for him until level 11

The player want to summon a lot (not only using his eidolon). So he will keep the medium level dip as a little punishment for his pathetic death. The leeser spirit power of the marhsall spirit allows him to share his spirit surge with allies, so he can make it up a bit.
We hope in a future game designers would design new spirits with better lesser spirit powers to support fullcasters medium characters. Or maybe options for multiclass with those classes...

Hmmm, that sounds interesting. Maybe mixing it with wandering spirit of shaman hybrid class would end in a curious class
