Questions about casting the same spell multiple times.

Advice

What if a magic-user casts summon monster multiple times before the duration of another ends? Do all summoned creatures remian or do the creatures of the previous casting leave?

What if mages sword was cast on one turn and then again on a second or third turn? Would all effects take place or would the former spell end?

If mirror images was cast multiple times what would happen?

This... is a good question. I had difficulty finding anything conclusive.

The closest I have is this:

In cases when two or more identical spells are operating in the same area or on the same target, but at different strengths, only the one with the highest strength applies.

I think Summon Monster and Mage's Sword get to operate concurrently, since their targets are the individual swords or summons, so there is no magical overlap.

Mirror Image, on the other hand, is affecting you with both casts, so this rule applies and only the strongest cast (the one with the most images) applies.

The weaker one doesn't actually seem to go anywhere, so I think its duration and number of images are continued, but it doesn't become relevant until it yields more images than the currently active instance.

Thank you.
